Does the rear left fender come with a fuel filler cover?

No. The rear left fender sits over the fuel filler area, but the fuel filler cover is not included and has to be bought separately. The other three positions have no comparable exclusion, though every fender still needs paint before it can be fitted.

Can the Type-GT Wide Fenders for AP1 cars be used to widen a stock body?

No. The Type-GT Wide Fenders for AP1 and AP2 cars are repair parts for the Type-GT wide body aero system. They are shaped to work with the matching bumpers and side steps, and the manufacturer states they cannot be fitted to a standard body as individual parts.

What is the difference between the front and rear fenders?

The front fenders replace the factory fenders and come with an inner fender and duct guide; their outlet duct vents both tire turbulence and engine bay heat. The rear fenders are over fenders that fit on top of the original body, and their duct vents tire turbulence only.

Is this a single fender or a set?

A single fender. Choose the position, front or rear and left or right, and one panel is supplied. Left and right sides have different part numbers and are not interchangeable, so double check the side before ordering to avoid a return and another wait.

What material are the fenders made from?

They are FRP and arrive unpainted. A body shop will need to prepare and paint each one to match the car. No weights or width figures are published for the Type-GT fenders, so the listing does not quote how far they extend past the original body.

Description

J’s Racing Type-GT Wide Fenders for AP1 / AP2 Honda S2000

J’s Racing’s Type-GT Wide Fenders for AP1 and AP2 S2000s are the four corner panels that give the Type-GT wide body aero system its width, sold one at a time so a damaged corner can be replaced on its own. Each FRP fender has an outlet duct at its trailing edge to release the turbulence the tire churns up inside the arch; at the front, that duct also lets engine bay heat escape. The fronts replace the factory fenders outright, while the rears fit over the original body. They are meant for cars already wearing the Type-GT kit, not as a standalone widening option.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
