Is the inner silencer included with the R304 60RS Exhaust for EP3?

No. The inner silencer is sold separately, and the manufacturer specifies its FX-PRO inner silencer for this system. It reduces the volume when fitted. Order it together with the R304 60RS Exhaust for EP3 if you expect to want a quieter setting.

Which cars is the R304 60RS designed for?

It is built specifically for the JDM EP3 Civic Type R with the K20A engine, made from 2001 to 2005, and the manufacturer lists it as an EP3-only part. It may not fit the US-market EP3 Civic Si, so contact Bulletproof Automotive with your exact model before ordering.

How does it differ from the FX-PRO titanium exhaust?

This system uses SUS304 stainless steel for the main pipe and silencer, with titanium only for the tail and its dolphin tip. The FX-PRO is full titanium and lighter, but costs about twice as much for the EP3. Both share the straight-through layout and the cut-bend tail design.

What does the stainless 60RS sound like?

At high rpm the stainless system gives a clean, high-pitched note that turns sharp on a circuit, and the manufacturer says VTEC engines make a distinct crack at the moment the high cam engages. Fitting the optional inner silencer brings the overall volume down for everyday driving.

Will the 60mm pipe cost low-end torque?

No. The manufacturer sized the 60mm main pipe to favor the middle and upper rev range without sacrificing low rpm, and says the added torque improves throttle response, so the VTEC engine stays enjoyable in town. Owners after maximum top-end power can look at the 70RR version with its 70mm main pipe.

Description

J’s Racing R304 60RS Exhaust for EP3 Honda Civic Type R

J’s Racing’s R304 60RS Exhaust for EP3 Civic Type R, catalogued as the SUS Exhaust Plus 60RS, pairs a SUS304 stainless main pipe and silencer with a titanium tail. It keeps the full straight-through layout J’s Racing is known for, every weld is TIG welded by hand, and the titanium tip carries the same cut-bend dolphin tail as the FX-PRO full titanium exhaust. The 60mm main pipe favors the middle and upper rev range without giving up low-end response, and the added torque sharpens throttle response around town. It is the pick for an EP3 owner who wants J’s Racing build quality for about half the price of full titanium.

Construction

The main pipe is 1.2mm SUS304 stainless and the silencer shell 1.0mm, and J’s Racing uses extremely thin flanges to take out weight wherever it can. The 130mm silencer body ends in a 75mm titanium dolphin tail. Each system is finished by hand, so faint marks from the welding jigs may remain.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
