How many bushings come with the Front LCA Bushings for DC5 cars?

Four. The Front LCA Bushings for DC5 cars cover the body attachment points of both front lower arms, which is where the arm pivots against the chassis. They do not include rear suspension bushings; those are part of the larger complete set offered for the DC5.

Do I need special tools?

Yes. These are press-fit bushings, so the old ones must be pressed out and the new ones pressed in, which means taking the lower arms off the car. A suspension shop with a hydraulic press can handle it quickly, and it is a sensible time to inspect the ball joints.

Will I notice more vibration?

Slightly. The manufacturer states that a little more vibration finds its way into the cabin because the reinforced bushings are harder than the originals. Most drivers who choose them accept that for the more precise steering and the steadier feel at speed.

Can I add the rear bushings later?

Yes. The manufacturer sells a complete 18-piece set for the DC5 that includes these four front lower arm bushings plus the rear upper arm, trailing arm, lower arm, knuckle and damper bushings. Starting with the front and adding the rear later is a common approach.

Are they worth fitting on a street car?

Yes, if you value steering feel. The manufacturer calls them a must for everything from street driving to circuit use, since quicker response and better stability help on the road too. The cost is a small rise in vibration rather than a harsh ride.

Description

J’s Racing Front LCA Bushings for DC5 Honda Integra Type R and Acura RSX

J’s Racing’s Front LCA Bushings for DC5 owners are a set of four reinforced bushings for the points where the front lower control arms attach to the body. The Osaka tuner uses a harder, more durable bushing that deforms less in corners, giving quicker steering response, a more direct feel and, by J’s account, better straight-line stability at high speed. It is a targeted upgrade for an owner who wants sharper turn-in without rebuilding the whole suspension. Drivers who are sensitive to vibration should know that a little more of it reaches the cabin.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
