What does the Reinforced Bushing Set for DC5 cars include?

The Reinforced Bushing Set for DC5 cars contains 18 bushings: four for the front lower arms, two each for the rear upper arms, rear trailing arms and rear lower arms, six for the rear knuckles and two rear damper bushings. That covers one car.

Does installation need a press?

Yes. The bushings are press-fit, so the old ones have to be pressed out of the arms and knuckles and the new ones pressed in. Most owners have a suspension shop do it, often while the arms are off for other work, since every corner of the car is involved.

Will the car feel harsher?

A little. The manufacturer notes that slightly more vibration is transmitted into the cabin, because the harder bushings flex less than rubber. In return the car responds more quickly to steering inputs, feels more direct and stays more stable in a straight line at speed.

Should I buy the full set or only the front bushings?

The front set covers only the body-mount points of the front lower arms and is a good first step for sharper steering. The full set also replaces the rear arm, knuckle and damper bushings, so the rear axle matches the front and the whole car responds as one.

Is it suitable for a street-driven car?

Yes. The manufacturer describes the reinforced bushings as essential for every stage from street to circuit, and the benefits of stability and steering response apply on the road as well. Expect a small increase in vibration, which most enthusiast drivers accept for the sharper feel.

Description

J’s Racing Reinforced Bushing Set for DC5 Honda Integra Type R and Acura RSX

J’s Racing’s Reinforced Bushing Set for DC5 cars replaces 18 bushings across the front lower arms and the rear suspension in one order, enough for a whole car. The harder, more durable bushings deform less in corners, which the Osaka tuner says improves straight-line stability at speed and gives more direct handling with quicker steering response. J’s Racing calls the set essential at every level from street to circuit. The trade-off is a little more vibration in the cabin, so it suits a driver who values feedback over isolation; a comfort-first daily driver may be happier on factory rubber.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
