Does the wing bolt on without drilling?

No. The 3D GT-Wing 1390mm for CL7 cars mounts on the left and right sides of the trunk lid, and both sides are drilled for the dedicated brackets. The hole positions decide how straight the wing sits, so have a body shop mark, drill and seal them.

Will the 3D GT-Wing 1390mm for CL7 cars fit an Acura TSX?

Not confirmed. The manufacturer lists this wing for the CL7 Accord Euro R only, even though the US distributor files it under the TSX. Trunk fitment on a TSX is not stated, so Bulletproof Automotive checks it with the distributor before an order goes through.

How is the wing adjusted?

It offers fifteen positions, made up of five angle settings at each of three heights. A flatter setting suits fast circuits where drag costs lap time, while a steeper angle adds rear grip on tighter tracks. Change one step at a time and recheck the balance.

Does the carbon need a clear coat?

It is recommended if the car lives outside or you plan to keep the wing for years. The manufacturer advises a UV-cut clear coat to protect the wet carbon from sun damage. The coat is not included, so budget for it with your paint shop.

Is this wing useful on the street or only at the track?

It is designed for both, but its effect grows with speed. The single flap profile keeps drag down while producing downforce in medium and high speed corners, which is why the Osaka tuner names Suzuka and Fuji Speedway as its proving ground for this design.

Description

J’s Racing 3D GT-Wing 1390mm for CL7 Honda Accord Euro R

J’s Racing’s 3D GT-Wing 1390mm for CL7 Accord Euro R owners is the Type 1 wing from the Osaka tuner’s 3D range, a single-element design in wet carbon fixed to the sides of the trunk. Its single flap keeps drag low while building downforce at medium and high speed, and J’s Racing names Suzuka and Fuji Speedway as where it works hardest. It makes the most sense on a K20A Euro R that runs fast track days; on a car that never leaves the highway, the downforce will seldom come into play.

Design and Performance

Adjustment is built around a five by three grid, fifteen combinations of angle and height, so the same wing can run flatter for an open circuit or steeper for a tight one. Dedicated brackets carry the load through the left and right sides of the trunk lid rather than a center pedestal.

Features

Wet carbon single-element wing, 1390mm wide and 165mm tall
Fifteen positions from five angle settings at three heights
Single flap profile developed to hold drag down
Downforce targeted at medium and high speed corners
Trunk side mounting on dedicated brackets

Applications

Honda Accord Euro R: CL7 | 2002-2008 | 2.0L K20A

Notes

J’s Racing USA files this wing under the TSX on its price list, while J’s Japan lists it for the CL7 Accord Euro R; Acura TSX fitment is not stated by J’s, so it is confirmed with J’s Racing USA before your order is placed
Installation means drilling both sides of the trunk for the dedicated brackets
For a car kept outdoors or for many years, J’s Racing recommends a UV-cut clear coat to stop the carbon fading in sunlight; it is not part of this listing
For front-end balance, J’s Racing pairs wings like this with its Carbon Canards for the CL7 Honda Accord Euro R
Made to order in Japan and supplied through J’s Racing USA; Bulletproof Automotive confirms the lead time once your order is in

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
