HKS’s Intercooler Piping Kit for FL5 Honda Civic Type R fixes a problem most owners never see on a dyno sheet: the factory charge pipe uses rubber hose on both the inlet and outlet runs, and rubber swells under high boost. Every millimetre of that expansion is pressure the turbocharger made and the engine never received. HKS replaces those sections with 60mm aluminium bends, up from the factory 55mm rubber, and smooths the internal shape at the same time. The pipes get a mirror buff finish and the cast sections carry the HKS logo, so a part that earns its place mechanically also looks like it belongs in the bay.

The factory charge path runs an aluminium casting in the middle of each side but relies on rubber hose at the inlet entry and the outlet exit, plus a resin outlet section.
