Will the 6-Pot Caliper Kit for CL7 cars fit my 16-inch wheels?

No. The 6-Pot Caliper Kit for CL7 Accord Euro R models cannot be fitted with 16-inch wheels, and 17-inch or larger wheels are required. Check the inside clearance of your chosen wheel against the caliper before ordering, since spoke shape and offset also affect fit.

What comes in the kit?

The kit contains forged aluminum six-piston calipers, 324mm by 30mm ventilated rotors, aluminum floating bell housings, dedicated offset brackets and caliper brackets, stainless steel braided hoses and dedicated pads from Seidoya. It is a complete front brake upgrade rather than a caliper-only package.

Is the kit suitable for street driving?

Yes. The manufacturer describes it as suited to everything from street driving to circuit use. The forged calipers give a linear pedal and reliable bite, and the dedicated pads were chosen through racing development, so the kit works on the road as well as on track.

How durable is the kit?

The manufacturer reports data from more than ten endurance races run on one kit with only consumables such as pads and rotors replaced and no caliper overhaul. Every component is made in Japan, and the forged body is chosen for heat resistance and rigidity.

Can I buy replacement pads and rotors?

Yes. Replacement pads are offered for this kit, along with replacement rotors in two forms: a rotor ring that reuses your existing bell housing, and a rotor supplied already mounted on a new bell housing. Each rotor is sold by side, left or right.

Description

J’s Racing 6-Pot Caliper Kit for CL7 Honda Accord Euro R

J’s Racing’s 6-Pot Caliper Kit for CL7 Accord Euro R owners is the front brake package the Osaka tuner developed through time attack and endurance racing, testing pad compounds and rotor diameters until the combination settled. Forged aluminum six-piston calipers clamp 324mm by 30mm ventilated rotors blended with carbon and slotted to a pattern J’s Racing refined at the track. Every part is made in Japan, and J’s Racing reports more than ten endurance races on one kit with only consumables replaced and no overhaul. It is built for owners who brake hard and often; a stock-wheeled commuter cannot fit it, since 17-inch wheels are the minimum.

Development and Testing

J’s Racing promises strong initial bite, linear pedal control and clean release, and attributes them to the light, rigid forged caliper body and its resistance to heat. The pads are a dedicated compound from Seidoya, the brake specialist behind R-Master, and J’s Racing argues that the kit’s durability lowers the running cost of hard braking over time.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
