COBB Tuning’s Hybrid Accessport V3 for N400 Toyota Tacoma i-FORCE MAX trucks reflashes both the engine and the transmission controllers from one handheld, and carries CARB EO D-660-346 for use in all 50 states. On a stock hybrid Tacoma we would start with a Stage 1 map on the octane you actually buy and the OEM+ transmission calibration. Owners who tow get a Tow calibration, and a custom map from a COBB tuner is worth it only once the hardware outgrows the Off The Shelf maps.

Transmission Tuning

This version can flash the TCM, the module that runs the automatic transmission, with three Off The Shelf maps. Simulated Stock reproduces a factory Tacoma or 4Runner calibration as a baseline. OEM+ raises shift points moderately, quickens downshifts, adds mid-throttle requested torque and lifts torque limits for a sportier yet refined feel. Sport pushes each of those settings further.

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
