What does the Silver Intercooler and HCT Intake package include?

The Silver Intercooler and HCT Intake package includes the Accessport V3 with TCM flashing for 2021 to 2023 Raptor trucks, the COBB intake system with HCT, the silver factory location front mount intercooler and a COBB vehicle badge. Trucks keeping the factory intake snorkel also need COBB bracket 8G4625.

Why replace the factory intercooler on an EcoBoost Raptor?

COBB says the stock intercooler on 2.7L and 3.5L EcoBoost F-150 trucks is undersized and becomes heat soaked quickly, which reduces available power. The silver replacement has a core 70 percent larger than stock, and COBB calls an intercooler the best hard part upgrade for these trucks.

Will the intercooler install require cutting the bumper or grille?

No. The factory location intercooler fits snugly against the OEM shutter shroud, and COBB states that it requires no cutting, trimming or permanent modification. That is the main reason to choose it over the larger COBB front mount, which calls for light modification but offers more core volume.

Is this kit 50-state legal?

Yes. COBB lists CARB Executive Orders D-660-135, D-660-245 and D-660-289 for this bundle, making it legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states. Other COBB Raptor listings describe 2023 trucks as 49-state only, so California owners of a 2023 should verify before ordering.

Can I return the truck to stock later?

Yes. The Accessport has an Uninstall option that restores the ECU to exactly its previous state, and because the intercooler needs no cutting, the factory part can go back in. The intake is a bolt-on swap of aluminum tubes and silicone couplers, so keeping the original parts makes a return to stock simple.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Silver Intercooler and HCT Intake Package (Factory Location) for P702 Ford F-150 Raptor

COBB Tuning’s Silver Intercooler and HCT Intake package gives the 2021-2023 Raptor a complete Stage 2 hardware set without taking a saw to the front of the truck. Inside are the Accessport V3 with TCM flashing, the COBB intake with dual 3 inch mandrel bent aluminum tubes and custom silicone couplers, and a silver intercooler that occupies the factory position. COBB points out that the stock intercooler on F-150 EcoBoost trucks is undersized and heat soaks quickly, costing power. CARB EO numbers D-660-135, D-660-245 and D-660-289 apply.

Why the Intercooler Matters

Heat soak is what wears away a tune over a long grade or a run of hard pulls. The silver unit in the Silver Intercooler and HCT Intake package is cast aluminum and TIG welded, with a core 70 percent larger than stock and 10 percent more cooling surface area, and it fits against the OEM shutter shroud with no permanent modification. Its end tanks and chamfered outlet are shaped to keep turbulence low on the way to the throttle body.

Features

Silver factory location intercooler, cast aluminum and TIG welded
No cutting or trimming to install the intercooler
Accessport V3 with TCM flashing and no ECU mail-in
Stage 2 and Performance Tow engine maps for 91 or 93 octane
Valet Mode limiting throttle to about 25 percent
COBB vehicle badge

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
