APR Performance’s Carbon Front Lip for EBA-R35 Nissan GT-R is shaped for the 2017 facelift bumper, and like the rest of APR’s GT-R air dams it comes with a limit stated up front: this is a road course and circuit part, not something to run at sustained high speed. The reason is ducting. A lip like this closes off the airflow path the front bumper uses to feed the brakes, and pressure that cannot get back out is what ends up damaging lips and bumpers. Used the way it was meant to be used, it does the job well. The panel is pre-preg carbon cured in an autoclave, faced in a 2×2 twill over a 3K weave, and it takes lift off a nose that is carrying serious speed by the time the corner arrives. Mounting holes come pre-drilled to the factory bumper and the stainless fasteners are supplied.
