Will the APR GT-250 Universal Adjustable Wing fit my car?

The GT-250 Universal Adjustable Wing mounts on flat aluminum bottom plates rather than plates shaped to one trunk lid, so it suits most track and high performance street cars with a solid rear deck. Where APR makes a vehicle-specific GT-250 kit for your car, that kit fits more cleanly.

What mounting width should be given with the order?

APR sets the pedestals to the mounting distance supplied by the customer. If no distance is given, the pedestals are set 47in apart. Measure across the rear deck at the points where the pedestals will sit, center to center, and send that figure with the order.

Is the Gurney flap included?

Yes. APR fits a half inch (12.7mm) pre-preg carbon Gurney flap to the trailing edge of every GT-250 before it ships, bonded with 3M VHB tape. It adds downforce and reduces flow separation off the back of the wing, so there is nothing extra to buy or install.

Which span is right, 61in, 67in or 71in?

The 71in version is the widest of the three universal GT-250 spans and suits wider cars. APR designs the GT-250 around compact performance cars, so on a narrow hatchback or roadster the 61in or 67in version is usually the better proportion.

How long does the wing take to ship?

APR builds each GT-250 to order and quotes a typical lead time of one to two weeks before the wing leaves the factory, plus transit. Contact the Bulletproof Automotive team for a current estimate before planning a track day around it.

Description

APR Performance Carbon GT-250 Universal Adjustable Wing (71in)

APR Performance’s carbon GT-250 Universal Adjustable Wing brings the same 2D airfoil APR fits to its vehicle-specific kits to any car with a solid rear deck, here at the full 71in (1803mm) span. APR refined the profile in CFD to hold an even level of downforce from endplate to endplate, then lays each airfoil up in pre-preg carbon, autoclave-cured in aluminum billet molds, with a carbon Gurney flap bonded to the trailing edge before it ships. It is built for time attack cars, track builds and serious street cars; a car that never sees a circuit will carry it more for the look than the lap time.

Pedestals and Mounting

The pedestals are machined from 10mm 6061 billet aluminum and finished in flat black powder coat, and they sit on aluminum bottom plates. The angle of attack adjusts from 0 to 15 degrees: flatter for long straights, steeper for braking zones and slow corners.

Features

2D airfoil developed in CFD for even downforce across the span
Woven pre-preg 3K carbon in a 2×2 twill, autoclave-cured in billet molds
UV-stable clear coat finish
Pre-installed carbon Gurney flap on the trailing edge
Stainless steel hardware lets the endplates be turned to suit the car

About APR Performance

APR Performance has built aerodynamic components for road racing, time attack, and street performance since 1999, working from the same wind tunnel and CFD-driven process across every product line. The company designs and manufactures its own carbon fiber wings, splitters, diffusers, and canards in-house, using pre-preg materials and autoclave curing rather than outsourced wet-layup production, which is why APR parts carry SCCA and other sanctioning body approvals across multiple race classes. From early Honda and Mitsubishi platforms to current Porsche, BMW, and Corvette applications, APR’s approach has stayed the same; every component has to earn its place through measurable aerodynamic gain, not just visual styling.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
