Is the APR GT-250 Universal Adjustable Wing a good fit for a small car?

Yes. At 61in the GT-250 Universal Adjustable Wing is the narrowest of the three universal spans, and APR designs the GT-250 around compact performance cars. It suits hatchbacks, small coupes and roadsters where a wider wing would overhang the body, while still mounting through flat aluminum bottom plates.

What happens if no mounting distance is supplied?

APR builds the wing with its pedestals 47in apart by default. Most owners measure the rear deck center to center at the planned pedestal positions and send that figure with the order, so the pedestals arrive set for their car rather than at the default spacing.

Does the wing come with a Gurney flap?

Yes. Every GT-250 leaves APR with a half inch (12.7mm) carbon Gurney flap already bonded to its trailing edge using 3M VHB tape. The flap adds rear load and helps keep airflow attached off the back of the wing, and it needs no separate purchase or fitting.

Can the angle of the wing be changed after it is fitted?

Yes. The 10mm billet pedestals carry a range of angle settings from 0 to 15 degrees. Lower settings suit fast circuits with long straights, and higher settings add rear grip for tight autocross courses and heavy braking zones. Retighten the hardware after every change.

How long does the wing take to ship?

Each GT-250 is made to order, and APR quotes one to two weeks before it leaves the factory, with transit on top. Ask the Bulletproof Automotive team for a current build estimate if the wing has to arrive before a set event date.

Description

APR Performance Carbon GT-250 Universal Adjustable Wing (61in)

APR Performance’s carbon GT-250 Universal Adjustable Wing in its 61in (1549mm) span is the compact member of the universal family, sized for the small, light cars the GT-250 airfoil was drawn for. The 2D profile was validated in CFD to carry a consistent load along its length, and every airfoil is formed in woven pre-preg carbon and cured under autoclave pressure in billet aluminum molds. On a hatchback, small coupe or roadster used for autocross and track days it is in proportion with the car; owners of wider cars should look at the 67in or 71in spans instead.

Universal Mounting

APR machines the two pedestals from 10mm 6061 billet aluminum, powder coats them flat black and mounts them on aluminum plates rather than vehicle-specific carbon bases. That flat base is what makes the wing universal, and it is why the pedestal spacing has to be specified when ordering.

Features

CFD-validated 2D airfoil carries consistent downforce along the span
3K pre-preg carbon in a 2×2 twill, autoclave-cured
UV-stable clear coat over the weave
Carbon Gurney flap fitted at the factory
Stainless steel hardware allows the endplates to be repositioned

About APR Performance

APR Performance has built aerodynamic components for road racing, time attack, and street performance since 1999, working from the same wind tunnel and CFD-driven process across every product line. The company designs and manufactures its own carbon fiber wings, splitters, diffusers, and canards in-house, using pre-preg materials and autoclave curing rather than outsourced wet-layup production, which is why APR parts carry SCCA and other sanctioning body approvals across multiple race classes. From early Honda and Mitsubishi platforms to current Porsche, BMW, and Corvette applications, APR’s approach has stayed the same; every component has to earn its place through measurable aerodynamic gain, not just visual styling.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
