Is this shock sold as a pair?

No. The TEIN EnduraPro Plus Front Left Shock is a single damper for the left front corner. TEIN sells EnduraPro dampers individually so only a worn unit needs replacing. The matching front right part is VBADA-11544-R; ask BA to source it if both sides are due.

Does the TEIN EnduraPro Plus Front Left Shock reuse the factory spring?

Yes. The lower spring seat is shaped like the OE damper, so the original spring and upper mount transfer across. TEIN also designs EnduraPro dampers to work with its own lowering springs, for owners who want a lower stance on the same shock.

Which Teslas does it fit?

The listing covers the all-wheel-drive, dual-motor Model 3 from 2017 and the all-wheel-drive Model Y from 2020 to 2025. This year coverage comes from distributor data, so confirm the model year with BA before ordering. Rear-drive cars are not covered.

Can the damping be adjusted?

Yes. A dial on the damper sets compression and rebound together across 16 levels, from softer for comfort to firmer for control. EnduraPro Plus is EDFC compatible on most models, but TEIN excludes some, so check with BA before buying an EDFC controller for this car.

How is it different from the standard EnduraPro?

The standard EnduraPro has fixed damping, while the Plus adds the 16-level dial and EDFC compatibility on most models. Both are OE-shape sealed dampers with the hydraulic bump stopper, TEIN-green powder coat and a larger shell, and both are sold individually.

Description

TEIN EnduraPro Plus Front Left Shock for AWD Tesla Model 3 and Model Y

TEIN’s EnduraPro Plus Front Left Shock for AWD Tesla Model 3 and Model Y replaces one worn front damper with an OE-shape unit that adds a 16-level damping dial. It takes the factory spring and upper mount, and the dial lets the owner firm up or soften the front of the dual-motor car. TEIN sells it singly, so only the worn corner has to be replaced. It is not a lowering part.

Inside the Damper

The twin-tube body is sealed by narrowing and crimping the top of the shell once oil and gas are in, and TEIN makes the shell larger in diameter to hold more oil. Near full compression, the Hydraulic Bump Stopper closes the base valve ports to raise damping, with a relief valve to limit spikes, while a conventional bump rubber stays in place.

Features

Single front left damper for dual-motor Model 3 and Model Y
Dial adjusts compression and rebound together through 16 levels
OE-shape lower spring seat accepts the original spring and upper mount
Also works with TEIN lowering springs for owners who want a lower stance
TEIN cites a 510 MPa shell against 340 MPa OE in its example; figures vary by model
TEIN-green 2-layer, 1-bake powder coat (patent 4347712) suits snowy and coastal regions

Applications

Tesla Model 3 (AWD): 2017-present | dual motor
Tesla Model Y (AWD): 2020-2025 | dual motor

Notes

The TEIN EnduraPro Plus Front Left Shock fits the left front corner only; the right side is the TEIN EnduraPro Plus Front Right Shock
Model year coverage comes from distributor data, so confirm your car’s year with BA before ordering
EDFC compatibility covers most EnduraPro Plus models but not all; check with BA before buying a controller
For fixed damping, see the TEIN EnduraPro Front Left Shock; to lower the car, see the TEIN Flex Z Coilovers for AWD Tesla

About TEIN

TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so. TEIN launched its own dampers in 1990 and came to supply around 80 percent of the dampers in the N1 Taikyu endurance series. TEIN USA has served the Americas from Downey, California, since 2001.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
