Does this set fit a Miata that is not a Mazdaspeed?

No. Injector Dynamics lists this code only for the turbocharged Mazdaspeed Miata. For other 1990 to 2005 Miatas it lists a version supplied with potted USCAR to Denso plug and play adapters, offered here in the ID1300-XDS and ID1750-XDS flow classes. Confirm the model before ordering if the car is not a Mazdaspeed.

Are Denso adapters included with the ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set?

No. The ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set for the Mazdaspeed Miata ships with USCAR connectors only. The Miata wiring uses Denso plugs, so order the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso plug and play adapters separately, or choose a PU version in a smaller flow class with potted adapters already included.

Do these injectors need a new calibration?

Yes. A 2600cc injector delivers several times the fuel of the factory part for the same pulse, so the ECU must be rescaled. Injector Dynamics publishes flow, offset and short pulse data, and a standalone or reflashed ECU should be set up with that data before the car is started.

Can the Mazdaspeed run methanol on these?

Yes. The ID2600-XDS was developed with Bosch Motorsport for liquid fuels and is rated for long term use on methanol and ethanol. Avoid fuels blended with MTBE, ETBE or TAME, and nitromethane, since Injector Dynamics does not rate the 2600 for ethers or nitro.

Can I replace a single injector from the set?

Yes, through Injector Dynamics. The four are flow matched, so one replacement is matched to the rest of the set. The warranty covers manufacturer defects for one year from purchase when the injectors run the correct fuel with proper filtration, and Injector Dynamics offers cleaning and flow testing in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set for NB Mazda Mazdaspeed Miata

This ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set for NB Mazda Mazdaspeed Miata puts four 2600cc/min injectors on the turbocharged 1.8L, using the 60mm body and an 11mm top that suit the factory rail. Few Mazdaspeed owners need this much fuel. The set belongs on a car that has gone to a much larger turbo and a high-flow fuel system, and it pays off most on E85 or methanol, where the extra volume is consumed. A car keeping its factory turbo on pump gasoline is better served by the ID1300-XDS set, which leaves the ECU more pulse width to work with at idle.

Configuration

The 11.02 is the Injector Dynamics application code for this Miata. The 60 is the 60mm body length and the 11 is the 11mm top adapter, with a -204 style cushion at the lower end. The injectors use USCAR plugs, while the Miata is wired for Denso connectors, so plan on adapters.

ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set matched as four with Dual Slope Matching
Built with Bosch Motorsport around corrosion-resistant internals for liquid fuels
Handles up to 9.0 bar of differential fuel pressure

Injector Dynamics lists this code for the Mazdaspeed Miata; the 1990-2005 Miata versions with potted adapters are the ID1300-XDS set with potted adapters and the ID1750-XDS set with potted adapters
The same Mazdaspeed configuration is also offered as the ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set
The engine must be retuned for these injectors with the Injector Dynamics characterization data before it is driven

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
