What is the difference between this set and the -PU version?

The injectors and the 11.02 application code are the same. The -PU version adds potted USCAR to Denso plug and play adapters so the injectors connect to the factory Miata wiring. This set has USCAR connectors only, which suits a car already rewired to USCAR or an owner buying adapters separately.

Is the ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set too large for a stock Mazdaspeed Miata?

Yes, at factory boost on gasoline. The ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set flows about 1335cc per minute per injector, so it is chosen for a larger turbo, higher boost or an E85 conversion. With proper tuning, the low minimum fuel mass still allows clean idle and cruise on pump fuel while the extra flow waits.

Is new injector data needed in the ECU?

Yes. The ECU or standalone system must be told the flow, offset and short pulse behavior of the new injectors. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data for the ID1300-XDS, and loading it is the starting point for a calibration that idles, cruises and makes boost correctly.

Is this set suitable for E85 or methanol?

Yes. Injector Dynamics designed the ID1300-XDS specifically for alternative fuels, and it is compatible with all known fuels. Running E85 calls for roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline, and methanol more again, so confirm the fuel pump, lines and regulator can keep up before switching the car over.

Are the injectors matched to each other?

Yes. Injector Dynamics flow matches every set so each cylinder receives the same fuel for a given pulse, and a single replacement is arranged through Injector Dynamics. Warranty cover is one year from purchase for manufacturer defects, with correct fuel and proper filtration required.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set for NB Mazdaspeed Miata

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set for the NB Mazdaspeed Miata gives the factory-turbocharged roadster four 1335cc/min injectors on a 60mm body with a blue 11mm top. That is a large step over stock fueling, and it fits the car once a bigger turbo, more boost or E85 enters the plan. Injector Dynamics developed the ID1300-XDS around alternative fuels and kept its minimum fuel mass low enough for gasoline, so idle and cruise on pump fuel stay clean after a proper tune. A car left at stock boost on gasoline will not use the extra capacity.

Configuration

The 11.02 application code identifies the Miata fitment, 60 is the body length in millimeters and 11 is the top size. This version ships with USCAR connectors only; the -PU version adds potted USCAR to Denso plug-and-play adapters for factory wiring.

Features

Four injectors under the 11.02 Miata application code, with blue 11mm tops
Rated for every known fuel and designed specifically around alternative fuels such as E85 and methanol
Flow matched as a set of four, with characterization data for the calibration

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels; designed specifically for alternative fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm (blue)

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with blue 11mm tops (x4)

Applications

Mazda Mazdaspeed Miata: NB

Notes

USCAR connectors are fitted and no adapters are included; Miata wiring with Denso plugs needs the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, or choose the -PU version with potted adapters
Plan on a tune, since the ECU needs the Injector Dynamics flow, offset and short pulse data loaded after installation
Also offered as the ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set for Mazda Miata with potted adapters, ID1750-XDS Fuel Injector Set for Mazda Miata and ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set for Mazda Miata for the same application

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
