Will the diffuser clear an aftermarket exhaust?

Not always. With an aftermarket muffler fitted, the diffuser may need to be cut or its stays rerouted so it clears the pipework and tips. Check where your muffler sits before installation and allow time for the extra trimming if the outlets fall inside the diffuser outline.

Is the Rear Diffuser for CL7 cars a bolt-on part?

Yes. The Rear Diffuser for CL7 Accord Euro R models attaches with the stays included in the kit. A car with the factory exhaust avoids the trimming that an aftermarket muffler can require, and a shop or a careful owner with the car on a lift can handle the job.

What is the difference between the carbon and FRP versions?

The Carbon option is carbon FRP with a clear gelcoat surface, so the weave shows through and a clear coat brings out the finish. The FRP option is black gelcoat FRP, which most owners paint to match the bumper. Both share the same shape and mounting.

Does the diffuser come painted?

No. Neither version is painted. The black gelcoat on the FRP diffuser is a base for color, and the clear gelcoat on the carbon diffuser is improved by a proper clear coat applied before installation. Budget for paint work when you plan the job.

Will it fit an Acura TSX?

Not confirmed. The diffuser is designed around the CL7 Accord Euro R, and the manufacturer does not list the Acura TSX for it even though the US distributor files it there. Bulletproof Automotive asks the distributor to confirm fitment before a TSX order is accepted.

Description

J’s Racing Rear Diffuser for CL7 Honda Accord Euro R

J’s Racing’s Rear Diffuser for CL7 Accord Euro R drivers works on the air leaving the underside of the car, straightening the flow beneath the rear bumper so the tail generates noticeably more downforce. The Osaka tuner builds it in two materials: carbon FRP finished in clear gelcoat, or FRP in black gelcoat. Both bolt on with the stays supplied in the box. It is the logical companion to a rear wing on a CL7 that sees circuit time, and less useful on a stock-height car that rarely exceeds highway speed.

Tips

The carbon version looks its best with a clear coat applied before installation, since the clear gelcoat is a base rather than a final finish. Cars running an aftermarket exhaust may need the diffuser trimmed or the stays rerouted to clear the pipework, so check the muffler position before booking the install.

Features

Straightens airflow under the rear to raise downforce
Carbon FRP with clear gelcoat or FRP with black gelcoat
Bolt-on installation using the supplied stays
Carbon weave finishes best under a clear coat applied before fitting

Applications

Honda Accord Euro R: CL7 | 2002-2008 | 2.0L K20A

Notes

Although J’s Racing USA files this diffuser under the TSX, J’s Japan and J’s North America list it for the CL7 Accord Euro R only; Acura TSX fitment is not stated and is checked with J’s Racing USA before ordering
Options: Carbon is carbon FRP in clear gelcoat, while FRP is black gelcoat and is normally painted
Paint and clear coat are not included
With an aftermarket exhaust, the diffuser may need cutting or the stays rerouting
Works well alongside the 3D GT-Wing 1390mm for the CL7 Honda Accord Euro R
Shipped from Japan via J’s Racing USA, with Bulletproof Automotive confirming availability and lead time after you order

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
