Will these pads fit my factory Accord calipers?

No. The 6-Pot Brake Pads for CL7 Accord Euro R cars are shaped for the six-piston calipers in the manufacturer front brake kit and will not fit the factory calipers. They are only a replacement part for owners who already have that caliper kit installed on the car.

Are these the same pads that came with my caliper kit?

Yes. The manufacturer describes these as the pads installed in the caliper kit from new, using its special blend friction material. Fitting them again keeps the kit working with the compound it was developed around, so pedal feel and bite stay as you know them.

Who makes the friction material?

The compound was developed jointly with Seidoya, the Japanese brake company behind the R-Master brand. The Osaka tuner calls it a special blend, and it was selected through racing development of the caliper kit, where pad material and rotor diameter were tested as a pair.

Can I order a different compound?

Yes. The manufacturer accepts custom orders for pads made to a different specification. Contact Bulletproof Automotive before you order with how you use the car, and we will pass the request through the US distributor and confirm what can be supplied and how long it takes.

Do the 6-Pot Brake Pads for CL7 kits need bedding in?

New pads should always be bedded to the rotors before hard use. Follow the bedding procedure you used when the 6-Pot Brake Pads for CL7 kits were first installed, or ask the installer, and inspect rotor condition at the same time, since worn rotors shorten the life of fresh pads.

Description

J’s Racing 6-Pot Brake Pads for CL7 Honda Accord Euro R

J’s Racing’s 6-Pot Brake Pads for CL7 Accord Euro R cars are the replacement pads for one specific brake system: the Osaka tuner’s front six-piston caliper kit for the Euro R. They use the J’s Racing special blend compound, developed jointly with Seidoya, the brake specialist behind the R-Master name, and they are the same pads the kit wears when it leaves the box. Reordering them keeps the pedal feel and bite the kit was developed around. They are for owners already running that kit; a CL7 on factory calipers needs a different pad entirely.

Development and Testing

The compound was chosen while J’s Racing developed the caliper kit in time attack and endurance competition, where pad material and rotor diameter were tested together. Keeping to the original blend means the rotors, calipers and pads continue to work as the combination they were matched in, rather than mixing in a compound the system was never tuned for.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
