Does the SUS Exhaust 60RS for DC5 cars come with the inner silencer?

No. The SUS Exhaust 60RS for DC5 cars is supplied without the inner silencer, which is sold separately. The insert lowers the volume, so it is worth ordering at the same time if the SUS Exhaust 60RS for DC5 cars will be used on the street most days.

How does it differ from the FX-PRO full titanium 60RS?

This version uses SUS304 stainless for the main pipe and silencer and keeps titanium only for the cut-bend dolphin tail, which matches the FX-PRO tail. The straight-through layout and 60mm main pipe stay the same idea. Stainless makes it the lower-cost route to the same look and character.

What does it sound like?

The manufacturer describes the smooth, rising high-pitched sound typical of stainless steel as revs climb, with a sharper edge on track. On a VTEC engine it adds a distinct crack as the high cam engages. No decibel figure is published; the optional inner silencer lowers the volume.

Are the marks on the pipe a defect?

No. The manufacturer notes that faint marks from the welding jigs can remain on the pipe after production, and they do not affect fit or performance. The tail color is also applied by hand, so it varies slightly from one exhaust to the next and from the product photos.

Will it improve low-end response?

The manufacturer sized the 60mm main pipe to emphasize mid and high rpm without sacrificing the low range, and says the added torque improves throttle response. That makes the car more responsive in town as well as on a circuit. No dyno figures are published for the DC5.

Description

J’s Racing SUS Exhaust 60RS for DC5 Honda Integra Type R and Acura RSX

J’s Racing’s SUS Exhaust 60RS for DC5 owners, catalogued in Japan as the SUS Exhaust Plus, pairs a SUS304 stainless body with the titanium cut-bend dolphin tail from the FX-PRO line. The full straight-through layout stays, every weld is TIG welded by hand, and the 60mm main pipe is sized to favor mid and high rpm without giving up the bottom end. J’s Racing says the added torque sharpens throttle response in town. It is the pick for an owner who wants the FX-PRO tail and a hand-built system without paying for full titanium.

Construction

The main pipe is 1.2mm SUS304 and the silencer shell 1.0mm, joined by flanges J’s Racing has thinned as far as it can to save weight. Revved out, the stainless body gives a clear high-pitched note, with a sharp crack as VTEC switches to the high cam.

Features

SUS304 stainless main pipe and silencer, hand TIG welded
Titanium cut-bend dolphin tail shared with the FX-PRO range
Main pipe sized for mid to high rpm without losing low-end response
Extra-thin flanges to keep weight down
Optional inner silencer, sold separately, for lower volume

Specifications

The SUS Exhaust 70RR for the DC5 Integra Type R and RSX is the larger-bore version
Built to order in Japan, so Bulletproof Automotive confirms availability and lead time with J’s Racing USA when you buy

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
