Is drilling needed to mount the low-mount wing?

Yes. Like the taller Type 1 wings, it bolts to the left and right sides of the trunk lid through drilled holes, using dedicated brackets. Having a body shop mark and drill the holes keeps the wing square to the car.

Does the Low-Mount 3D GT-Wing for AP1 cars suit street driving?

Yes. The Low-Mount 3D GT-Wing for AP1 cars is the version the manufacturer designed to work at everyday speeds, with downforce that starts in the medium and low speed range. Its 100mm wing height also keeps the profile modest compared with the 195mm race wings.

Will it fit both the AP1 and AP2?

Yes. It is listed for the 1999 to 2003 AP1 with the 2.0 liter F20C and the 2004 to 2009 AP2 with the 2.2 liter F22C. On either car it bolts to the trunk sides and offers the same adjustment range.

Can I still tune it for a track day?

Yes. The wing keeps the 15-step adjustment of the Type 1 family, combining angle and height positions. That lets you add angle for a circuit session and return to a milder setting for the drive home, all without changing the brackets.

How should I care for the wet carbon?

Sunlight can discolor carbon over time. The manufacturer recommends a UV-cut clear coat, not included, for any car parked outdoors or kept for many years. The clear coat is best applied by a paint shop before the wing is mounted.

Description

J’s Racing Low-Mount 3D GT-Wing for AP1 / AP2 Honda S2000

J’s Racing’s Low-Mount 3D GT-Wing for AP1 and AP2 S2000s is the understated member of the Type 1 family: a single-element, wet carbon wing that sits just 100mm high across a 1390mm span. Where the taller wings target fast circuits, this one is shaped to produce downforce from practical medium and low speeds, so J’s Racing says the effect can be felt on ordinary roads and on the highway. It suits the S2000 owner who wants a quieter look and real stability on a winding road, with enough adjustment for occasional track days.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
