Will it fit an RS or an early model Fit?

No. This lip is made for late model GE Fits with the standard bumper. It cannot be fitted to early model cars or to RS grade cars, which use different bumpers. The late model RS has its own Type-S front spoiler from the same range.

Which cars does the Type-S Front Lip for GE models fit?

The Type-S Front Lip for GE models is listed for late production GE6, GE7, GE8 and GE9 Fits with the standard, non-RS bumper. Confirm that your car has the facelifted front end with the standard bumper, and not the RS bumper, before you place an order.

The lip adds just 10mm below the lowest points at each end of the factory bumper. The manufacturer chose that depth so a lowered Fit remains easy to live with on the street, while the wing profile still produces its aerodynamic effect.

The lip is supplied with dedicated tapping screws and double-sided tape for mounting to the factory bumper. Paint it first, clean the bumper surface well, and test fit before peeling the tape backing so the position is right the first time.

Does it need to be painted?

Yes. The lip comes in unpainted black gelcoat FRP. Have it painted to match your car, or in a contrast color as shown in the two-tone photos. Paint is not included, so plan for body shop time and cost before installation day.

Description

J’s Racing Type-S Front Lip for GE Honda Fit Late Model Non-RS

J’s Racing’s Type-S Front Lip for GE Fits is the wing spoiler for the late model car with the standard, non-RS bumper. On a front-drive car the front tires do the driving and steering, so J’s Racing aims downforce and cleaner airflow at them to sharpen cornering. The Osaka tuner also points out that a low-powered car like the Fit pays for excess downforce with drag, so the 3D round profile concentrates its effect at the wing section. It drops only 10mm below the lowest point of the stock bumper. It suits a facelifted standard Fit owner after a sharper nose; RS owners need a different part.

Design and Performance

The lip looks low, yet J’s Racing set its depth with lowered cars in mind, adding just 10mm below the ends of the factory bumper so everyday driving stays manageable. The detailed shape was designed with road use in mind. It is FRP in an unpainted black gelcoat finish, and the photos show it painted in two-tone colors.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
