Do I get all four fenders with one order?

No. Each option is a single corner: front left, front right, rear left or rear right. A front fender comes with its bumper extension and a rear fender with its door panel extension. Order all four positions for a complete Type-S widebody conversion.

How much wider do the Type-S Wide Fenders for GD cars make the Fit?

The Type-S Wide Fenders for GD Fits add 35mm per side at the front and 25mm per side at the rear. That extra room is what allows a wider tread and different tire sizes, so choose wheel offset and tire width with those figures in mind.

Can I install them myself?

It is not recommended. Fitting the FRP panels takes real fitting skill, and the manufacturer specifies installation and painting by a specialist body or aero shop. Large rear track increases can also mean cutting into the quarter panels and door panels, which is body shop work.

What do the ducts do?

Ducts at the rear of each fender pull air out of the wheel arch, settling the turbulent flow inside it. The manufacturer says this reduces air resistance and raises top speed, a benefit that matters most on fast circuits where the arches are working hardest.

Do the fenders come painted?

No. The fenders are supplied unpainted in FRP, and the manufacturer asks that a specialist shop handle the painting along with the fitting. Test fit all panels before paint so any trimming or adjustment is done first, then color match them to the rest of the car.

Description

J’s Racing Type-S Wide Fenders for GD Honda Fit

J’s Racing’s Type-S Wide Fenders for GD Fits widen the body 35mm per side at the front and 25mm per side at the rear, making room for a wider track and larger tires on the Osaka tuner’s Type-S widebody. Each fender also works aerodynamically: ducts at the rear of each panel draw turbulent air out of the wheel arch, which J’s Racing says reduces drag and raises top speed. Every corner is sold separately in FRP, with its matching extension piece. This is a serious build item for a Fit headed to time attack or circuit racing; a mild street car does not need the extra width.

Tips

Plan the wheel and tire package first, since the added width is what allows a different tread and tire size. Fitting FRP fenders takes skill, and J’s Racing insists the panels are installed and painted by a specialist body or aero shop. Owners pushing the rear track out a long way should also budget for trimming the quarter panels and door panels.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
