Does the FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for AP1 cars include the muffler bushes?

No. The FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for AP1 and AP2 cars needs three Type A reinforced muffler bushes, which are sold separately, so order them with the exhaust. The optional inner silencer is also a separate purchase, so add it now if you want a quieter setting available.

Will it fit a US-market AP1 or AP2 S2000?

Yes. It is listed for the AP1 and AP2 S2000 from 1999 to 2009, with the F20C and F22C engines. If the car runs driveshaft spacers or similar parts from another brand, check clearance first, because the manufacturer warns that they can interfere with the exhaust.

How loud is it, and can the volume be reduced?

The manufacturer describes the dry VTEC note typical of full titanium, produced by a straight-through silencer. An optional inner silencer, sold separately, fits into the system to lower the volume. No decibel figure is published for this model, so Bulletproof Automotive does not quote one.

How much lighter is it than the stock muffler?

The manufacturer states a saving of more than 50 percent against the stock muffler, helped by 1mm-wall titanium pipe. No exact weight is published, and the US distributor notes that the saving varies by model, so treat the percentage as a guide rather than a measured figure for your car.

How does the 60RS differ from the 70RS and 70RR?

The 60RS is the street version, with a 60mm main pipe and an optional inner silencer for lower volume. The 70RS and 70RR use a larger 70mm main pipe aimed at circuit power, with the 70RS adding a center silencer for quieter running than the all-out 70RR.

Description

J’s Racing FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for AP1 / AP2 Honda S2000

J’s Racing’s FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for AP1 and AP2 S2000s is the street-focused member of the Osaka tuner’s redesigned FX-PRO full titanium range. It keeps the straight-through layout J’s Racing developed to cut back pressure, adds a larger silencer, and is built from 1mm-wall titanium tube that J’s Racing says weighs less than half as much as the stock muffler. The 60mm main pipe is sized for road use, with gains across the rev range rather than only at the top. It suits an owner who drives on the street and tracks the car now and then; for quiet cruising, budget for the optional inner silencer.

Design and Performance

Each titanium section is shaped on a three-dimensional bender, so the bends stay smooth and flow resistance stays low. The straight-through silencer core is what lets J’s Racing claim torque and power gains everywhere in the rev range, and it produces the dry VTEC note that J’s Racing associates with full titanium.

Features

1mm-wall titanium throughout, more than 50 percent lighter than the stock muffler by J’s Racing’s comparison
60mm main pipe sized for street drivability
Enlarged straight-through silencer for minimal back pressure
Smooth three-dimensional bends for a low-resistance flow path
Dolphin-tail tip made with a cut process, finished with hand-applied color

J’s Racing’s US distributor notes that the weight saving varies by model

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
