What is the difference between the MOTON 1-Way, 2-Way and 3-Way kits?

The 1-Way adjusts rebound only. The 2-Way Clubsport adds compression adjustment on a remote reservoir, and the 3-Way Motorsport splits compression into separate high-speed and low-speed adjusters. All three include springs, threaded ride height and front camber plates. The 1-Way suits road use with occasional track days.

Can the 1-Way kit be driven every day?

Yes. MOTON designed the 1-Way for owners who track the car but still want a sound balance for daily driving, and its single adjuster makes it the easiest of the three to live with. Ride height is set on the threaded bodies, so the front can stay high enough for steep driveways.

What comes in the box?

Four non-inverted monotube coilovers with springs, pillowball front camber plates and a pair of adjustable aluminum front droplinks with M10 threads. The rear is a true coilover, so the factory rear springs are not reused. The EDC cancellation kit, wheel spacers and the alignment are not included.

Moton’s 1-Way Coilovers for G8X BMW M2, M3 and M4 RWD bring dampers from the maker whose shocks filled 30 percent of the 2000 Le Mans grid to the rear-drive M cars, in the simplest form MOTON builds. Each corner is a non-inverted monotube with one rebound adjuster and threaded ride height, and the rear becomes a true coilover rather than using BMW’s separate spring seat. An elevated top guide with a helper piston keeps sideload friction low, so damping stays consistent and internal wear stays down. It suits an owner who wants tighter control and a lower stance without a setup sheet.

Design and Performance

Rebound sets how quickly each damper extends after compressing, which decides how the car settles after crests and kerbs. The 1-Way gives one adjuster per corner for exactly that and leaves compression to MOTON’s valving, the right amount of adjustment for a road car with occasional track days. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
