Nitron Front Adjustable Top Plates for E30 BMW 3 Series

The Nitron BMW E30 Top Plates are for owners who’ve fitted Nitron coilovers and want the front alignment set up properly and held there. The factory strut mount on an E30 is rubber with very little adjustment built into it, so a car that’s been lowered on firmer springs and driven hard ends up with whatever front geometry the new ride height gives it, and that geometry drifts as the mount flexes under load. Nitron’s top plates replace the factory mount with a machined aluminum plate that locates the strut positively and lets both camber and caster be set where the driver wants them, which gives a light, simple chassis like the E30 a front end that turns in the same way every time. They’re sold as a pair for the two front corners and fit the non-M3 E30 range, the 318i, 318is, 325, 325e, 325es, 325i, 325is, and 325ix, whether the car is a restored road car or a build that sees regular track days.

Rubber-Free Construction

There is no rubber anywhere in the design of the Nitron Front Adjustable Top Plates, and rubber is what lets a set alignment drift under load. With nothing compliant in the mount, hard braking and cornering have nothing to move, and positive location and adjustment mechanisms hold the camber and caster settings where they were put. The front end behaves the same at the end of a track day as it did at the start, and the alignment set on the rack is the alignment the car actually runs.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
