The Nitron Front 993 Top Plates built for owners who want real control over front alignment on a car running Nitron coilovers. The factory strut mount on a 993 relies on rubber, which flexes under load and offers very little adjustment, so once the suspension is stiffened up for spirited driving or track days, the alignment set on the rack tends to wander as soon as the car is working hard. Nitron’s top plates replace that with a machined aluminum plate that locates the strut positively and lets both camber and caster be set where the driver wants them. They’re sold as a pair for the two front corners, and they suit the Carrera, Carrera 4, GT2, Turbo, and Turbo S, which covers everything from a lightly modified street car to a GT2 that sees regular track time.

Rubber-Free Construction

The factory mount uses rubber, and rubber is what lets a set alignment drift once the car is under real load. The Nitron Front Adjustable Top Plates leave it out entirely. With nothing compliant in the stack, hard braking and hard cornering have nothing to move, and positive location and adjustment mechanisms hold the camber and caster settings exactly where they were put on the rack. The front end then behaves the same on the last lap of a session as it did on the first.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
