Does the Front Splitter for VB include the air dam?

No. The Front Splitter for VB comes with two blade halves, two support rods, a support plate, four clevises and a hardware kit. Verus Engineering sells a Splitter Air Dam for the VB WRX separately, which keeps air from slipping between the splitter and the bumper, and offers splitter endplates for even more front downforce.

Will the VB splitter bend if it hits the ground?

No, not in the way aluminum does. The blade is a hard, durable and stiff plastic, chosen by Verus Engineering because it does not pull under the car like an aluminum splitter when it catches the road, and that resists cracking when it is struck from below. Care on steep driveways still pays off, as with any splitter.

Is the Verus VB splitter suitable for street use?

Yes. Verus Engineering refers to it as its street front splitter, designed for owners who want to counter front-end lift and gain traction at high speed. It bolts on with stainless hardware, and Verus also places it in its Ventus 2 package, aimed at drivers who attend track days regularly.

Which rear aero balances the splitter on a VB WRX?

Verus Engineering says the splitter is good at balancing a range of rear aero devices, and it estimated the effect of the splitter so it works with each Ventus package. On the VB that means the Verus rear diffuser or either version of the UCW rear wing, chosen to suit how much rear load the car needs.

Does the splitter improve lap times?

Yes. Verus Engineering lists lower lap times among the benefits of the splitter, alongside reduced lift and better overall aerodynamic efficiency. The gain comes from extra front grip at speed, so it shows most on fast corners, and the size of the improvement depends on the circuit, the tires and the rest of the aero setup.

Description

Verus Engineering Front Splitter for VB Subaru WRX

Verus Engineering’s Front Splitter for VB Subaru WRX adds front downforce and trims drag in a bolt-on package, using a blade of hard, stiff plastic that will not fold under the car the way aluminum can and resists cracking when struck from below. Verus calls it its street front splitter, built to fight front-end lift and add traction at high speed on the 2022 and later WRX. It is also the front element of the Verus Ventus 2 kit, aimed at owners who attend track days and want the car balanced at speed.

Balance

Verus estimated the splitter performance with analysis software during development so it balances the car with each of its Ventus packages, and shaped it from scan data taken in-house for a near-OEM fit. It suits a VB that already runs a rear wing or diffuser and needs more grip at the nose.

Features

Reduces front lift for more front-end downforce
Hard, stiff plastic blade that will not pull under the car like aluminum
Resists cracking from impacts underneath
CFD-tested design, manufactured in the U.S.A.
Bolt-on fitting with stainless hardware

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
