Does the Increased AOA Kit for 992 include a new wing?

No. The Increased AOA Kit for 992 includes a left mount and a right mount that replace the factory pieces and bolt to the original carbon wing exactly as the OEM mounts do. The factory wing stays on the car, so the GT3 keeps its original look, adjustment and feel.

Why add rear downforce to a 992 GT3?

Verus Engineering suggests the mounts for drivers who find the GT3 tail happy at speed, on or off the track, and want a slight increase in rear downforce to settle it. More angle of attack lets the factory blade lower the pressure beneath it further, adding rear load without the cost of a new wing.

Should I balance the mounts with front aero?

Yes, if the front end begins to feel light. Verus Engineering matches these mounts with its two-element dive planes and the carbon radiator gurneys in the Ventus 1 package, so the extra rear downforce is matched at the nose. More wing angle alone moves the balance rearward and can slow turn-in at speed.

How are the AOA mounts made?

Verus Engineering machines each mount in house on 5-axis CNC mills from 6061-T6 aluminum, in the USA. The shape comes from in-house scan data so the parts follow Porsche design language and fit like factory pieces, and Verus designed and tested the angle change in CFD.

Is the kit enough for a car with a big front splitter?

No. Verus Engineering positions the increased angle of attack mounts for a slight gain in rear downforce. A 992 GT3 with a large front splitter needs the bigger step of the Verus UCW rear wing, which the splitter and dual dive planes in the Ventus 2 package were sized to balance.

Description

Verus Engineering OEM Wing Increased AOA Kit for 992 Porsche 911 GT3

Verus Engineering’s OEM Wing Increased AOA Kit for 992 Porsche 911 GT3 replaces the factory wing mounts with machined aluminum units that let the original carbon element run at steeper angles of attack than Porsche allows. More angle means more rear downforce, while the factory adjustment, appearance and feel all carry over. It answers a specific complaint, a GT3 that feels tail happy at speed, and suits the owner who wants that settled without fitting a new wing; a car with a large front splitter needs the bigger step of the Verus UCW wing.

Why Angle Matters

A wing makes downforce by speeding up the air beneath it and lowering the pressure there, and tilting the factory blade further strengthens that effect. Verus machines each mount in house from 6061-T6 aluminum on 5-axis CNC mills, shaped from scan data to follow Porsche design language.

Features

Opens a wider angle of attack range for the factory wing
Keeps factory adjustment, appearance and feel
Better high-speed stability and aerodynamic efficiency
CNC cut in house in the USA, designed and tested in CFD
Bolts to the factory carbon wing exactly like the original mounts

Applications

Porsche 911 GT3: 992 | 2022-present

Notes

The Increased AOA Kit for 992 contains the left and right mounts only; it reuses the factory carbon wing, which must be on the car
Bolts on in place of the factory mounts, with a Verus install manual and install video to follow
Combine it with the Dual Element Dive Plane Kit and the Carbon Radiator Duct Gurney, or buy all three as the Verus Engineering Ventus 1 Aero Package for 992 Porsche 911 GT3
For a larger gain in rear downforce, the UCW Rear Wing Kit for 992 Porsche 911 GT3 replaces the factory wing
Verus does not name the GT3 Touring or separate the facelifted 992.2; contact BA to confirm fitment on those cars

About Verus Engineering

Verus Engineering designs aerodynamic and performance parts in Indianapolis, Indiana. Two engineers founded it in late 2014 as Velox Motorsports and renamed it in 2017 after a trademark dispute; verus is Latin for true or complete. Each design starts from a 3D scan of the car, is developed with CFD and finite element analysis and is validated on track, across more than 20 platforms from the GR86 to the C8 Corvette.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
