Verus Engineering’s Swan Neck UCW Rear Wing Kit for G82 BMW M4 hangs the UCW element from above, leaving the whole underside of the wing free to work the low-pressure zone that pulls the car down. Verus reports this top-mount layout extracts more performance with less drag than the bottom-mount version, and rates the kit past 500 lb. It suits the M4 owner adding a big step in rear grip to balance a strong front package without moving up to the V1X.

Development

The airfoil derives from the V1X, sized to the space above the M4 trunk and optimized with the ANSYS adjoint solver and wind tunnel testing. Verus used CFD to set a safe aero balance and scan data to blend the wing into the profile of the M4, and machines the 6061-T6 mounts on 5-axis CNC machines.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
