Will it work with other intercoolers?

T1 Race Development states that the kit is only compatible with T1 intercoolers, the T1 ice box and the T1 front-mount heat exchanger. The lines and fittings are made to suit those parts and their positions in the R8, so other components would need their own plumbing.

What line sizes does the kit use?

The main water feed and return lines are 16AN, matching the 16AN male bungs on the T1 heat exchanger end tanks. The lines to the intercoolers are 12AN, matching the -12AN ORB bungs on the billet water end tanks of the T1 V10 intercooler pair.

Is there a version for the Huracán?

T1 Race Development lists this line kit for the 4S Audi R8 only. Its complete Huracán kit includes the intercooler pair, ice box and shelf without a line kit, so Huracán owners should discuss water routing with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering parts.

Are the fittings included?

Yes. The kit includes the 16AN main water feed and return lines, the 12AN intercooler lines and all fittings and hardware needed to connect them to the T1 components. The pump, ice box, intercoolers and heat exchanger are sold separately or as the complete kit.

Description

T1 Race Development Intercooler Line Kit for 4S Audi R8

T1 Race Development’s Intercooler Line Kit for 4S Audi R8 is the water plumbing that ties T1’s R8 charge cooling parts together. It links the T1 ice box in the front trunk, the T1 intercoolers and the T1 front-mount heat exchanger, using 16AN lines for the main feed and return and 12AN lines at the intercoolers, with every fitting and piece of hardware supplied.

Design and Performance

A water-to-air system depends on steady water flow, so T1 sizes the main feed and return at 16AN and steps down to 12AN at the intercoolers, which use -12AN ORB bungs on their billet end tanks. The 16AN male bungs on the T1 heat exchanger match the main lines. The lines are custom made for the R8 and the parts T1 designed them around, so the kit is not a universal hose set.

Compatibility

T1 states that the kit is only compatible with T1 intercoolers, the T1 ice box and the T1 front-mount heat exchanger. It is part of the R8 version of the T1 V10 Complete Ice Box Kit, and is sold on its own for owners building the system in stages or replacing lines.

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
