ADRO Carbon Rear Diffuser for Gen 1 Toyota GR Yaris

Toyota GAZOO Racing did not build the GR Yaris to be ordinary, and ADRO did not treat it as ordinary either. The full carbon body kit was developed with CFD to work with the homologation car’s existing aerodynamic platform, and ADRO reports approximately 165 lbs (+734N) of additional downforce for the complete kit at minimal drag cost. The ADRO GR Yaris Gen 1 Rear Diffuser is the component that converts all of that into rear grip. It replaces the factory valance beneath the rear bumper and gives the air leaving the underbody a controlled expansion on its way out, which is what generates the low pressure that presses the rear axle down.

Where Downforce Gets Put To Work

The rear diffuser is where the underbody finally pays out. Air travelling beneath the car is accelerated as it exits through the diffuser’s expanding volume, and the low pressure that creates pulls the rear of the car toward the road. That is the whole mechanism, and it is why a diffuser improves high-speed stability and cornering confidence rather than just appearance. On a car as short as the GR Yaris the effect is welcome at the back, where a light rear end is the first thing to let go when the road opens up.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
