SOUL Performance developed the Competition Package for the Porsche 981 Boxster and Cayman by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts, combining the superior flow characteristics of its Competition Headers with the Valved Exhaust System’s efficient X-pipe design. This pairing delivers exceptional throttle response and a dramatic yet controlled sound profile for vehicles driven on both the street and track. With the valves closed, the exhaust maintains a refined, daily-driver-friendly tone free from excessive volume or drone. When the valves are opened, the system unleashes an intoxicating flat-six symphony as exhaust gases flow through a straight-through path and exit through the selected exhaust tips.

Power

• SOUL Performance tested its Competition Package on a Mustang dyno using a vehicle equipped with existing race headers, the Porsche Sport Exhaust System, and a custom tune as the baseline. The testing showed gains of 11 wheel horsepower and 9 ft-lbs of torque, with additional power expected when paired with a custom retune.

Construction

• SOUL Performance precision-engineers its headers from T304L stainless steel, with meticulous fabrication and proven design elements such as port-matched flanges, smooth-radius primary tubing, and optimized collectors that work together to maximize exhaust flow and power gains. Every set is rigorously quality-checked prior to shipping. Each system is constructed from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel tubing and features mufflers with fortified casings to promote long-term durability. Customers can choose from a variety of 321 stainless steel exhaust tips in multiple styles and finishes, or contact SOUL Performance to create a custom tip setup.

Bolt On and Go

• Each SOUL Performance exhaust is test-fit in a dedicated fixture to verify proper fitment, then foam packed to help ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Detailed installation instructions are included for a straightforward install that most DIY enthusiasts can complete. Valve operation is controlled through the factory valve button, SOUL’s valve controller fobs, and is compatible with HomeLink.
