AlphaRex Nova-Series Projector LED Alpha-Black Headlights for AP1 / AP2 Honda S2000

The Honda S2000 continues to stand as a timeless JDM sports car icon and a benchmark of Honda engineering. For the revered AP1 and AP2 variants, AlphaRex Honda S2000 headlights are engineered to enhance the front-end appearance with two distinct design paths: the bold, modern NOVA-Series and the subtle, original-inspired LUXX-Series. The NOVA-Series features AlphaRex’s signature 3D ice-cube quad-projector design, complemented by a slim lower LED tube that provides selectable white or amber DRL and an amber sequential turn signal. This LED tube also incorporates the activation light feature, delivering a captivating startup sequence at ignition to elevate the S2000’s front profile with a modern edge.

Light Features

• In the quad-projector configuration, all four projectors operate as low beams, while the inner two projectors transition into a dual-beam output for high beam functionality. Osram Oslon Black Chip LEDs power the low beam output, while AlphaRex LUXX LEDs support the dual beam output, reflecting AlphaRex’s patented focus on performance and reliability. A precise projection cut-off line is engineered to meet American LHD regulations and support DOT / SAE compliance with clean, controlled light output. As the flagship series in the lineup, the NOVA-Series includes key lighting functions such as activation light, sequential turn signal, and selectable white or amber DRL.

Breathing Vents

• Condensation management remains a common challenge for both OEM and aftermarket headlights, as moisture can accumulate inside housings due to temperature fluctuations even with quality seals. To help address this, Nitto Denko TEMISH® CAPSEAL™ air vents are incorporated to promote efficient moisture discharge in the Honda S2000 headlights. These vents improve airflow within the housing so moisture can escape more easily, functioning like a breathing action and earning the “Air Breathers” name.

Housing

• The headlight housing is constructed from high-quality polypropylene (PP) to support durability and long service life. With strong resistance to heat and moisture, polypropylene helps maintain consistent performance across a wide range of conditions. An Alpha-Black themed housing adds a glossy black finish with black accents to deliver a sporty chrome-delete appearance for the S2000.

Lens

• The S2000 headlights use high-quality polycarbonate plastic lenses designed to withstand extreme weather while delivering excellent lighting performance. An anti-fog agent is applied to help reduce lens fogging and improve visibility in changing conditions. A protective coating is also applied to resist yellowing and oxidation, keeping the lenses clear and looking newer for longer.
