The AWE Tuning SwitchPath Exhaust for the Z06 retains full factory valve operation without any relearn procedure, delivering gains of 11hp and 14ft-lb of torque at the wheels while giving the driver real control over the exhaust tone. Straight-through mufflers and a custom X-pipe produce a controlled, aggressive note with the valves closed and a more pronounced, open sound when activated. The system is built to last, using OEM-grade valves, machined aluminum brackets, and dual heat shields to protect electronics, all while coming in 15 lbs lighter than stock. It finishes with quad 4.5″ double-walled diamond black slash-cut tips and is fully emissions-compliant, engineered and manufactured in-house at AWE’s Pennsylvania facility.

With the valves closed, it stays controlled and composed; open, it sharpens into an aggressive, high-revving flat-plane V8 note. It remains refined during cruising but becomes intense at wide-open throttle, all managed through the factory valve system, and pairs well with high-flow pipes thanks to mufflers designed to keep harsh frequencies in check.

Stealth shielding

• AWE Tuning fits the Z06 with a pair of machined aluminum heat shields that mount to the factory bumper points, keeping the exhaust visible through the mesh while shielding the inner bumper area. Unlike wrap-style approaches that can retain moisture and lead to damage, this bolt-on setup provides a cleaner, more durable form of heat protection.
