The C8 Corvette Eventuri intake sets a new standard for performance with its innovative design, offering the largest internal volume and highest-performing intake for this platform. By redesigning the OEM trunk panel, Eventuri expanded the intake’s size and shape, using clear polycarbonate to display the carbon fiber intake when the trunk is open. Featuring Eventuri’s patented Venturi Housing concept, the intake provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path, reducing drag by minimizing obstructions through the filters. The increased internal volume enhances flow capacity, allowing higher-powered builds to maximize performance. The sealed system, utilizing OEM air feeds and carbon fiber’s low thermal conductivity, ensures reduced air temperatures. The result is industry-leading performance gains and improved throttle response.

The Eventuri Difference

• The C8 Corvette Eventuri intake system surpasses traditional designs with patented carbon fiber housings that create an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the engine. Unlike typical cone filters with heat shields, this design leverages the Venturi effect to maintain laminar flow and reduce drag. Crafted from 100% pre-preg carbon fiber, without fiberglass, the intake system offers a smooth internal surface for optimized airflow. Each component is engineered for a specific purpose, delivering high-quality performance.

Patented Filter Housing

• The C8 filter housing features two patented Venturi pods merging into a single outlet. It includes two high-flow bespoke filters, aluminum cowls, laser-cut brackets, and a carbon pod. The carbon pod encases reverse-mounted filters, directing airflow smoothly to the throttle body. This gradual reduction in cross-sectional area creates the Venturi effect, accelerating airflow while maintaining laminar flow, similar to a large velocity stack.

Bespoke Cone Filter

• A custom filter was designed to maximize the available engine bay space. With a 192mm (7.6″) outer diameter, this filter can flow up to 900 CFM at 28″ H2O when tested with a 4″ housing. ISO-tested to meet OEM standards, the dry filter features signature flow cones to enhance the Venturi housing’s performance.

Carbon Ducts

• The carbon ducts channel ambient air from the side vents to the filter housing. Designed to seal against engine bay heat, they are secured with a neoprene gasket at three points. The ducts are shaped to maximize internal volume, allowing for unrestricted airflow to the filter housing.

Clear Trunk Panel

• To accommodate the larger intake, the stock trunk panel was redesigned from clear polycarbonate, showcasing the carbon fiber intake when the trunk is opened—an industry-first feature for this platform.

Bracket Work

• The intake system’s framework ensures that the OEM wiring looms remain hidden and organized. Laser-cut from stainless steel and aluminum, the bracket work is designed for both function and aesthetics.

Inlet Flanges

• Custom inlet flanges and flexible hoses connect the intake to the stock cold air feeds, isolating engine bay heat from the intake system.

Silicon Coupler

• The silicon coupler replaces the stock throttle body coupler. It is designed with internal steps to ensure a seamless passage from the throttle body to the carbon intake, maintaining an uninterrupted flow into the plenum.

Dyno Testing

• The C8 Intake by Eventuri was independently tested by Corvette specialists Paragon Performance in Iowa and tuning experts MSL Performance in the UK. Both evaluations were conducted on stock C8 vehicles, comparing the stock airbox to the Eventuri intake on the same day. Paragon Performance conducted the tests in a controlled closed-cell environment, logging temperatures and fuel trim values. A fully stock C8 was run to stabilize engine temperatures, and after that, the Eventuri intake was installed without moving the car from the dyno. The same temperature levels were reached before performance data was collected. This ensured consistent and unbiased testing conditions between the stock airbox and the Eventuri intake.
• The results showed measurable gains across the entire RPM range, not just at peak performance. This increase in the overall area under the curve indicates the intake’s effectiveness beyond the headline numbers. On the road, even with a stock car, this translates to noticeable improvements in throttle response and quicker acceleration.

CFD Analysis

• A computational fluid dynamics (CFD) flow analysis was conducted to optimize the intake’s design for smooth airflow and reduced drag. The analysis revealed how the intake manages turbulent flow upstream of the filters, transforming it into a smooth, linear flow through the MAF (mass airflow) tube and toward the throttle body. As the airflow accelerates through the MAF tube, it remains laminar and uniform, ensuring consistent performance all the way to the engine.
