The Fabspeed Long-Neck Intercooler for the 930 Porsche 911 Turbo is a high-performance upgrade engineered to optimize flow efficiency and provide maximum cooling. By lowering intake temperatures and improving airflow, this intercooler boosts power gains while preventing heat soak, ensuring sustained performance. With an increased surface area and internal volume, it offers superior heat dissipation, making it ideal for both track and street applications. Unlike the factory OEM intercooler, which falls short in maintaining consistent power, this intercooler shines in both daily driving and high-performance scenarios. The included silicone hoses eliminate the risk of tearing and smooth air flow, while the performance-designed bypass valve enhances reliability, power, and sound. The “Long-Neck” design refers to an outlet that extends and connects directly to the throttle body, bypassing the original equipment air by-pass valve system for a more efficient boost delivery. With silicone tubes that eliminate leaky O-rings, this intercooler ensures maximum boost retention, keeping the 930 Porsche 911 Turbo running at peak performance.

Air Bypass Valve System

These large and heavy systems were originally found on the 930 Turbo models and were later updated or removed by the factory. The housings acted as an intermediary component between the intercooler and the intake manifold, integrating with the Bosch K-Jetronic emissions control system. This assembly regulated and bypassed excess pressure back into the intake circuit using a vacuum-actuated piston, compression spring, and diaphragm regulator. These wearable components are often responsible for common drivability issues and sluggish engine response. The assembly also includes input ports for the boost gauge and limiting sensors. The 1991-1994 965 C2 Turbo models were updated with a simpler, lightweight boost control valve. The Fabspeed intercooler system replaces this assembly and converts to the long-neck design along with the newer style boost control valves. This upgrade significantly enhances drivability, providing sharper boost response and allowing the turbocharger to spool more quickly.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do.
