The full Capristo high-performance system aims to strike a balance between power, drivability, and sound quality, while also significantly reducing weight. The manifolds feature a unique design with modified pipe routes, differing from the conventional manifolds, to enhance exhaust flow. Upholding the Capristo “best of both worlds” philosophy, it offers the ability to produce a robust exhaust note during acceleration and a quieter tone for city driving.

Valve Control

• The system’s sound versatility is made possible with vacuum-actuated valve flaps. These flaps seamlessly adapt based on driving conditions and inputs from the driver. At more tempered engine speeds or while cruising, the valves stay closed, rendering a rich exhaust sound. However, during full-throttle moments, the valves promptly open, revealing the engine’s full acoustic splendor.

Engineering

• Capristo Exhaust systems showcase precision engineering, using state-of-the-art tools like 3D Laser-Scanning, CAD Design, Digital simulation, and CNC-bending/milling at their German facility. Every system is sculpted from the premium T309 (1.4828) Stainless Steel and is meticulously hand-polished to achieve a radiant mirror-like finish. Following exhaustive studies, they opted for this particular alloy due to its acoustic vibrancy, lightweight characteristics, and sturdiness—attributes that echo the qualities of Inconel utilized in F1 racing.

CES-3 Control Module

• The backpressure-controlled exhaust valves are able to be customized by the user via the included CES-3 Control Module. This programmable control unit comes with three operating modes that can be navigated through a remote key fob.
  • Cruise: Exhaust valves open at higher RPMs
  • Sport: Exhaust valves open at lower RPMs and hard acceleration
  • Open: Exhaust Valves Remain Open
• The Cruise and Sport modes on the car can be individually tailored to allow specific backpressure margins, determining when the exhaust valves will be triggered. This offers meticulous control over the exhaust based on personal preferences and resilience of the driver

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts.
