Which Porsche do the Fabspeed Sport Headers for 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo fit?

They fit the 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo built from 2006 to 2009 with the 3.6-liter twin-turbo Mezger flat-six. They are engineered for that car's factory header location, so they are a direct replacement. They are not designed for the later 997.2 Turbo, which uses a different 3.8-liter engine and header layout.

What are the Fabspeed headers made from?

Each set is CNC mandrel-bent from 14-16 gauge T304L stainless steel, a low-carbon grade chosen to resist cracking and corrosion under sustained turbo heat. The primary tubes are cut to equal length and feed high-velocity 3-into-1 merge collectors. That construction keeps exhaust gas moving quickly and evenly on its way to the turbochargers.

What do the Sport Headers actually improve?

They replace the restrictive factory headers, which frees up exhaust flow and sharpens throttle response while giving the Turbo a deeper, more purposeful note. Fabspeed dyno-develops the design in-house, and the headers deliver the most when paired with a freer-flowing exhaust downstream. They install in the original header location, so no cutting or custom fabrication is needed.

What do I need to install these headers?

The Sport Headers for 997.1 bolt into the factory header location, but they do not include gaskets, so plan to fit fresh factory OEM header gaskets during the job. Fabspeed provides an installation guide, and after the first heat cycle you should re-torque all exhaust bolts to the factory specification. Professional installation is recommended.

Will the headers make the car louder?

They add a deeper, more aggressive note rather than a dramatic jump in volume, because headers change how the exhaust flows rather than removing silencing downstream. Owners who want a louder, fuller sound usually pair the headers with a Fabspeed exhaust system for the 997 Turbo. On their own, the headers refine the tone the factory system already produces.

Are the Fabspeed headers covered by a warranty?

Yes. Every set is backed by the Fabspeed Lifetime Warranty, the same coverage Fabspeed puts on its full exhaust line. Because the headers are hand-built in the USA from T304L stainless at Fabspeed's Fort Washington, Pennsylvania facility, they are made to outlast the car rather than a set number of years.

Description

Fabspeed Sport Headers for 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo

Fabspeed’s Sport Headers for 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo replace the most restrictive section of the factory exhaust with hardware built to breathe. For more than thirty years Fabspeed has designed and dyno-developed exhaust systems for Porsche in its own Fort Washington, Pennsylvania shop, machining every part in-house on aerospace-grade equipment and validating it on the dyno and the road before it ships. These headers are CNC mandrel-bent from 14-16 gauge T304L stainless steel, with equal-length primary tubes feeding high-velocity 3-into-1 merge collectors that keep exhaust gas moving quickly into the turbochargers and sharpen throttle response, adding a deeper, more purposeful edge to the Turbo’s voice. They bolt into the factory location as a direct replacement, and like every Fabspeed part they are backed by the company’s lifetime warranty, an upgrade for the owner who wants the car’s foundation to match everything built on top of it.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
