Are the Fabspeed Sport Cats street legal?

The Fabspeed Sport Cats are genuine high-flow HJS Sport Cats that keep emissions scrubbing, so they are not an off-road delete part. However, they are not CARB approved and are not for sale in California or other states that require CARB certification. Elsewhere, emissions rules vary, so confirm your local laws before ordering.

Will they cause a check engine light?

No. Because they are genuine high-flow HJS trimetallic Sport Cats rather than a straight pipe, they still scrub emissions, so Fabspeed guarantees no check engine light on a healthy engine. That is the advantage of a true Sport Cat over an off-road pipe.

How much power do they add?

Fabspeed estimates around 30 HP across the rev range on the twin-turbo V6, with more available from an ECU tune. The gain comes from opening up the restrictive factory equipment: the high-flow HJS Sport Cats flow far more freely, which also frees a more aggressive sound.

Which Macans do they fit?

They fit the 2014-2018 Porsche 95B Macan S and GTS (3.0L twin-turbo) and the Macan Turbo (3.6L twin-turbo), gas engines only, not diesel. Fabspeed designed them for both left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive vehicles. The 2.0L four-cylinder Macan uses a different primary Sport Cat.

Are the HJS Sport Cats genuine, and how much power can they support?

Yes. Fabspeed uses genuine HJS German trimetallic Sport Cats, and it fits the largest cat that will go in the factory location, rated to support over 1200 HP. That makes them a strong choice for both bolt-on and heavily modified builds, and each set is hand TIG-welded in T304 stainless steel.

Is it a bolt-on installation?

Yes. The Sport Cats are a direct bolt-on that install in the factory position, so no cutting or welding is needed on the vehicle. Because they sit deep in the exhaust on the V6, many owners have them installed by a shop. They are backed by Fabspeed's Lifetime Warranty.

Description

Fabspeed Sport Cats for 95B Porsche Macan S, GTS and Turbo

Fabspeed Sport Cats for the 95B Porsche Macan S, GTS and Turbo are high-flow HJS German Sport Cats that free up the twin-turbo V6 where the restrictive factory equipment holds it back. Porsche fits dense ceramic units that choke flow; Fabspeed’s HJS trimetallic Sport Cats open the path for an estimated 30 HP and a more aggressive note, while still scrubbing emissions so the gains come with no check engine light. Fabspeed uses the largest HJS cat that fits the factory location, rated to support over 1200 HP, and builds each set in-house from German and USA components, hand TIG-welded from T304 stainless steel. On the turbocharged Macan, high-flow Sport Cats are one of the most effective ways to wake up both power and sound.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
