The revolutionary “12 Piston Caliper” is an industry-first, pioneering a 2-part construction with an impressive 12 pistons. Its design is based on the ultra-compact 6-pot calipers, but uses a 3-piston, 1-pad format. It features four specially-crafted brake pads that vastly outperform those of conventional calipers, offering unrivalled braking power. This model is constructed out of strong forged aluminum, which makes it both large and lightweight, as well as incredibly steady. Furthermore, by employing pistons of differing diameters, it prevents uneven wear of the brake pads, thus providing extraordinary management.

Blue Anodized Finish

• When aluminum is presented to the oxygen in the environment, it develops an external film which hinders it from further corrosion. This is generally referred to as oxidation, which produces a similar effect to that of rust. To take advantage of this chemical reaction, the anodizing procedure goes further in creating an incredibly strong exterior layer that consists of aluminum oxide. This finishing is beneficial for racing purposes as it is far more tough than either paint or powder coating. Anodizing presents a dependable coating that holds up against wear and tear.

“E-Slit” Double Shaving Effect

• The E-Slit Rotor stands apart from other rotors due to its distinctive features. It has a long slit, which gives a subtle curved edge and an ‘E’ at its center. Its double layer of shading adds to the shape of the pad and offers a light braking effect. The ‘E’ Slit’s stronger braking force, in tandem with the long slit, helps maintain the pad’s quality. When the long slit dissipates, showing the ‘E’ symbol, it is a clear sign that the rotor needs to be replaced.
• Even with regular use of the brake rotor, its integrity may be compromised due to corrosion and rust caused by wear and tear with time. For this reason, it is recommended that the old rotor be replaced with a new one every two years.

E-Slit Rotors

• The E-Slit rotor melds together a long curved slit and four smaller E-Slits for more effective removal of the pad. The concave shape of the slit, together with the greater friction from the E-Slits, keeps the brake pad in ideal condition. Constructed of a special carbon composite, this rotor was developed with Endless’s new technology to increase mu-levels of stability, guard against heat cracks, and unleash the fullest abilities of the brake pad. The slits are designed to ensure the most methodical pad shaving.

Special Heat Treatment Process

• If used excessively and for a long time, the rotor may become subject to heat-induced wear, resulting in small cracks (heat cracks). In order to protect against this, components that make up the rotor go through a special heat-treating process. This is intended to strengthen the parts and to reduce the likelihood of heat cracks occurring during hard use. As a result of this heat treatment, the rotor is able to last longer, allowing the user to enjoy its usage for extended periods of time without having to worry about it.

• The bell cap has had a coat of blue paint applied to it in order to protect it from corrosion and add a visually appealing look.

Bedding

• To unlock the full benefits of circuit-dedicated pads that are designed to withstand high temperatures, a ‘bedding’ process must be implemented. This involves preheating the pads before using them, so that they can withstand rigorous usage and provide maximum results.
• Competitors in the highest tiers of motorsports, such as SUPER GT, WRC, and some European events, invariably have top-tier bedding.
• Prior to installing semi-metallic brake pads, a proper bed-in procedure must be performed to ensure proper temperature operation and maximize the life of the pads and rotors.
• How to Bed:
  • When driving on a course with a new product installed, it is essential to gradually bring the rotor temperature up to between 400 and 500° C, making sure to avoid hard braking. When atari has been added, wait for the temperature to decrease by itself to 100° C or lower as this indicates the procedure has finished.
