Do the ZACOE Performance 720S Front Fenders replace the factory fenders or mount over them?

They replace them. The 720S Front Fenders are vented replacements for the OEM fenders, so the factory panels come off and the carbon fenders bolt into the same mounting points. No cutting is needed. Since nothing on the car is modified, you can keep the original fenders and reinstall them later if you want to return the car to stock.

What do the vents on the fenders do?

Fender vents come from racing, where an opening above the front wheel lets air that’s packed into the wheel arch at speed escape out the top. ZACOE Performance placed the vents on the 720S Front Fenders in that same position above each wheel. They give the car a motorsport look that fits McLaren’s airflow-focused design.

Will the 720S Front Fenders fit the 720S Spider?

The 720S Front Fenders are developed for the McLaren 720S. The coupe and Spider differ mostly at the roof and rear deck, but body panel fitment shouldn’t be assumed between variants. Contact us directly with your car’s details and we’ll confirm fitment with ZACOE Performance before you order.

How difficult is installation?

Plan on a professional shop. Replacing the front fenders on a 720S means removing surrounding trim and panels to reach the fender mounts, then aligning the new fenders to the hood, bumper, and door gaps. A shop familiar with McLaren body panels will get the alignment right and test fit both sides before final assembly.

Can I buy the front fenders without the rest of the Soft Kit?

Yes. This listing is the pair of carbon front fenders on their own, and they work on an otherwise stock 720S. They’re also part of the complete ZACOE Performance 720S Soft Kit, so the lines stay consistent if you add the hood, lip, side skirts, or diffusers later.

What are the 720S Front Fenders made from?

ZACOE Performance builds them from dry carbon fiber. Dry carbon is cured under heat and pressure with very little excess resin, so it’s stiffer and lighter than the wet-layup carbon common in aftermarket body panels. For a full replacement panel this size, that stiffness helps the fender hold its shape and keep panel gaps consistent.

Description

ZACOE Performance Carbon Front Fenders for P14 McLaren 720S

From the side, most of a 720S is front fender. The panel runs from the headlight back to the leading edge of the dihedral door and covers the whole front wheel, so changing it changes how the car looks in profile more than almost any other single piece. ZACOE Performance’s Carbon Front Fenders for the McLaren 720S are vented replacements for the OEM fenders. The factory panels come off and dry carbon fiber fenders bolt into the same mounting points, each with a motorsport-style vent built into the top, above the front wheel. The 720S Front Fenders keep the factory shape and proportions exactly, so the car doesn’t look widened or reshaped. You get exposed carbon across the front corners and vented arches that make the car look track-built. Because they’re straight replacements, the original fenders can be stored and refitted later.

Vents With a Race Car Purpose

Venting the top of a front fender comes from racing. At speed, a spinning wheel packs air into the wheel arch, and that trapped air pushes up on the front of the car. Race teams open the fender above the wheel to let that air escape. ZACOE Performance put the vents on the 720S Front Fenders in that same position, so they read as purposeful rather than decorative. It suits a car McLaren designed with airflow in mind everywhere you look.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
