The 650S has aged well, but its shape was always the understated one in McLaren’s lineup. It’s a refined evolution of the 12C, clean and tight to the wheels, and next to anything McLaren has built since, it can look reserved. ZACOE Performance’s Carbon 650S Nova Widebody Kit is for owners who want the car to stop blending in. The kit widens the front and rear fenders, adds layered carbon surfaces along the nose, sides, and tail, and ties the rear fenders into a wing drawn from the McLaren M8D Can-Am racer. It also includes the Fi EXHAUST Volcano conversion kit, which moves the tailpipes up through the rear deck behind the cabin. Every body panel in the 650S Widebody is dry carbon fiber, so the extra width doesn’t undo the weight discipline the 650S was built on.

Wider From Nose to Tail

The 650S Nova Widebody works as one continuous body rather than a set of flares bolted to the corners. A three-piece front lip carries out to the widened front fenders, which use integrated louvers to pull air out of the wheel arches. From there, side skirts with a dolphin-style fin extension lead into the wide rear fenders. At the back, rear bumper side extensions and a lower diffuser with four vertical blades fill out the rear track, and the wing flows directly out of the rear fenders so the tail reads as a single shape. Every panel was developed from high-resolution 3D scans of the 650S body, so the widened surfaces line up with the factory doors, glass, and roof. A carbon hood and engine cover round out the kit. Fi EXHAUST Volcano Top Exit

The included Fi EXHAUST conversion kit replaces the factory exhaust exit with twin upward-facing outlets above the rear deck, and a central rear grille closes the original tailpipe opening. With the outlets right behind the cabin, the twin-turbo V8 becomes much more present from the driver’s seat. The valvetronic muffler is controlled by remote, with an open mode for full sound and a closed mode for cruising. Heat is the real engineering problem with a top exit layout, so the muffler and tips are ceramic-coated, and ZACOE Performance designed a heat-resistant carbon exhaust cover rated to 250°C, with integrated ducts that vent heat away from the surrounding bodywork.
