Moshammer Rear Diffuser Evo II is the second evolution of the part that built the company’s reputation on the 992, and the refinements are all in the airflow. Hot air gathering behind the engine is given a route out through the diffuser, while the shaped lower surface works with the 992 Carrera’s smooth floor to generate a negative ground effect, the inverted wing profile that steadies the car’s handling. None of it costs the car its shape: the Evo II sits within the Sport Design and GTS bumper aperture as though Zuffenhausen had drawn it. Berlin builds each one to order and delivers it primed in satin black with mounting material and a TUV parts certificate (§19.3). It behaves like a factory option that never appeared on the order form, which is precisely why considered 992 owners keep specifying it.

Airflow and Ground Effect

Two things happen once the Evo II is fitted. Hot air from the engine compartment escapes through the diffuser rather than lingering, and the air moving under the flat 992 floor is given a controlled exit that produces a negative ground effect. Moshammer calls that an inverted wing profile, and the practical result is handling that feels more planted as the speed climbs.

Evolution of the Design

The Evo II is not a new idea but a matured one, developed from Moshammer’s earlier 992 diffuser with revised surfacing and a tighter relationship to the Sport Design and GTS bumper. It is an evolutionary shape in the truest sense, familiar enough to look original and different enough to be worth the effort. That restraint is what OEM+ means in Berlin.

Finish and Documentation

Each Evo II leaves Berlin primed in satin black with its mounting material, ready to mount as delivered or to be painted to your colour code. A TUV parts certificate (§19.3) accompanies the part, which matters to anyone registering the car in Germany and reassures everyone else about how it was developed. Installation uses the OEM screw points and a special glue, with no cutting involved.

What changed between the original and the Evo II? The Evo II is an evolution of the earlier 992 diffuser, with revised surfacing that improves how hot air leaves the engine bay and how the shape integrates with the Sport Design and GTS bumper.
Does it fit a 992 with the standard rear bumper? No. This version is developed for the SPORT DESIGN and GTS rear bumper. There is a separate Moshammer diffuser for standard-bumper cars.
Is the satin black finish durable enough to leave alone? It is a primed satin black finish that many owners run as delivered. If you want long-term colour stability or a body match, have it painted before installation.
Does it help cooling as well as aerodynamics? Yes. The design allows hot air from the engine compartment to escape through the diffuser, which is one of the reasons Moshammer treats it as a functional part rather than trim.
Is there paperwork for German registration? The diffuser is supplied with a TUV parts certificate (§19.3), the documentation German authorities require for a component of this kind.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do.
