VF Engineering’s Supercharger System for the Porsche 997.1, continuing the 2002 Porsche 996 supercharger legacy, significantly enhances performance with the Vortech V3 Supercharger. This supercharger, delivering linear power to redline and increasing output by over 125 horsepower, is mounted on a CNC-manufactured 6061-T6 aluminum bracket that aligns with existing OEM bolt patterns, requiring no engine modifications. Featuring helical-cut gears for quiet operation and calibrated to a conservative 6 psi, the system boosts performance while ensuring reliability and vehicle durability.
VF Engineering introduces its Supercharger System for the Porsche 997.1, building on the success of the 2002 Porsche 996 supercharger program. Adhering to VF Engineering’s core philosophy of delivering daily drivability without compromising reliability, this system boosts the 997.1 with a significant performance enhancement. Central to the system is the Vortech V3 Supercharger, chosen for its ability to deliver linear power up to redline and add over 125 crank horsepower. The system features a precision-engineered billet supercharger mounting bracket, crafted using CAD software and CNC-manufactured from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a perfect fit using OEM bolt patterns, requiring no alterations or relocation of engine components. The V3 model SCi-Trim supercharger unit, selected after extensive consultation with Vortech engineers, includes helical-cut gears for ultra-quiet operation, rendering it virtually silent when the engine compartment is closed. Capable of a maximum 20 psi and 1000 cfm, the supercharger is calibrated to a conservative 6 psi to ensure long-term durability and reliability.
VF Engineering’s meticulous design maintains the use of the OEM spring-loaded belt tensioner and optimizes the serpentine belt routing to preserve correct accessory rotation and maximize pulley friction. An advanced air-to-water intercooler, integrated into the tight engine bay, reduces boost temperatures, enhancing engine safety and improving combustion. This charge cooler features isolated water channels cooled by a separate system, including a Porsche OEM front radiator, front bumper vents, and an OEM Bosch water pump circulating through OEM Goodyear water lines. Even in extreme conditions, such as the Arizona desert at 118°F, intake air temperatures remain around 140°F, ensuring consistent and reliable power output. For added peace of mind, the charge cooler system operates continuously while the ignition is on, providing dependable performance every time the vehicle is driven. Experience a new level of performance with VF Engineering’s Supercharger System for the Porsche 997.1.
