Which years does the VF ECU Software for Lamborghini Gallardo fit?

VF Engineering lists its ECU Software for Lamborghini Gallardo models for the 2009-2013 cars with the 5.2 liter V10. The earlier 2004-2008 Gallardo used a different 5.0 liter engine and is not covered by this calibration, so check the build year first.

How much power does the Gallardo software add?

VF Engineering has not published a stock figure for this car that matches the Lamborghini rating, so Bulletproof Automotive does not quote a gain. The calibration works on throttle response and how cleanly the V10 builds revs rather than on a single headline number.

How is the software installed?

The calibration is an end-user programmable package written through the OBDII port, so the owner can load it without a workshop appointment. VF Engineering states that the factory calibration can be restored from the same port at any time, with nothing physical changed.

Is there a matching calibration for the e-gear gearbox?

Yes. VF Engineering sells a separate TCU calibration for 2009-2013 Gallardo models with the e-gear automated manual, which refines shift response. The ECU software works on the engine and the TCU software on the gearbox, so e-gear owners often install the two together.

Are any supporting modifications needed?

No. The software is written for the Gallardo on its factory hardware, including the standard exhaust and intake. Owners who have already changed those parts can ask Bulletproof Automotive to check with VF Engineering before ordering, in case a revised calibration is advised.

Description

VF Engineering Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Gallardo (2009-2013)

VF Engineering’s Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Gallardo is written for the later cars, built from 2009 to 2013, when the Gallardo moved to the 5.2-liter direct-injection V10 that it shared with the Audi R8 V10. That engine carries the car’s character, and VF’s calibration leaves the hardware alone and works on ignition, fueling and throttle mapping to make it answer the pedal sooner and pull more cleanly toward the top of its range. For an owner keeping a Gallardo in regular use, it is a modest, reversible way to bring a car now well over a decade old a step closer to what the engine can do.

Features

Calibration for the 2009-2013 Gallardo
Revised ignition, fueling and throttle mapping
Sharper response from the 5.2-liter V10
End-user programmable through the OBDII port
Factory calibration can be restored at any time
No change to factory hardware

Applications

Lamborghini Gallardo: 2009-2013 | 5.2L V10

Notes

This ECU Software for Lamborghini Gallardo models is software only
Not for the earlier 2004-2008 Gallardo with the 5.0-liter V10
No horsepower gain is quoted here because the stock baseline VF publishes for this car does not match the factory rating
For the e-gear transmission, see the VF Engineering Performance TCU Software for Lamborghini Gallardo

About VF Engineering

VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Every calibration is developed in house on the company’s own Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, ECU boards are handled in a dedicated clean room, and new parts start in an R&D room equipped with a rapid prototyper. VF reports that more than 93 percent of its supercharger systems are still running after years of hard use, many on their second or third owner, and its engineers carry the testing discipline of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series into every road calibration.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
