VF Engineering’s Competition Package for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the harder of VF’s two calibrations for the car Porsche rated at 690 hp and 553 lb-ft, the rear-drive, PDK-only 911 that took the Nurburgring production-car lap record in 2017. VF quotes 770 hp and 630 lb-ft with the Competition calibration loaded, gains of 80 hp and 77 lb-ft, against 750 hp and 615 lb-ft for its Performance software. VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
