Will the PDK Flashing for 991.2 Porsche package work on a manual Carrera?

No. COBB lists this package for PDK equipped cars only, and the transmission software has nothing to program on a manual gearbox. Manual Carrera, Targa and GTS owners should choose the standard Stage 1 Power Package, POR0110010, which shares the engine maps and the filter.

Which transmission calibrations are supplied?

The PDK Flashing for 991.2 Porsche package includes five gearbox files: Simulated Stock, COBB OEM+, COBB Sport, COBB Sport+ and COBB Aggressive. Each has its own behaviour in Normal and Sport mode, letting a driver keep factory-like manners in traffic and pick a firmer file for a track day.

Can the car be returned to stock before a dealer visit?

Yes. The Accessport main menu has an Uninstall option that removes COBB programming and restores the factory files. For a softer step, Simulated Stock is one of the five PDK calibrations, so the gearbox can behave like original while the engine keeps a COBB map.

Is it legal on a California registered 911?

Yes. COBB states the package is legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states under California Air Resources Board Executive Order D-660-232, provided it is installed and used according to the COBB application guide, which includes daily street driving.

Does the Carrera T qualify?

Yes, with PDK. COBB confirms the 2018 and 2019 Carrera T alongside the 2017 to 2019 Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, GTS, Carrera 4 GTS and Targa 4, 4S and 4 GTS, including Cabriolet body styles. Every listed application must have the PDK transmission.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1 Power Package with PDK Flashing for 991.2 Porsche 911 Carrera, Targa and GTS

COBB Tuning’s Stage 1 Power Package with PDK Flashing for 991.2 Porsche 911 Carrera, Targa and GTS models reprograms both the engine ECU and the dual clutch transmission from one Accessport V3, then adds an AMS dry media filter, all covered by CARB EO D-660-232. Buy it only if the car has PDK. A manual coupe or Targa receives the identical engine tuning and filter in POR0110010 for less money.

Transmission Calibration

The PDK Flashing for 991.2 Porsche models brings five gearbox files: Simulated Stock, COBB OEM+, COBB Sport, COBB Sport+ and COBB Aggressive. Each one behaves differently in Normal and Sport mode, and COBB publishes separate map notes for the engine and PDK sides so you can see what changes before you flash.

Filter Construction

AMS engineers designed the Alpha dry media element for this chassis with 6.875 square feet of material folded into 55 pleats, each 15.5 in wide and 0.75 in deep, balancing flow against filtration. COBB notes the extra airflow helps turbo response when the engine is tuned to match.

Features

Writes COBB calibrations to the engine ECU and the PDK transmission
All engine performance maps preloaded, with space for 100 calibrations in total
High resolution color display monitoring six live parameters at once
Multichannel datalogging that stores up to 10 hours of runs
Filter runs on the stock calibration or the Stage 1 off-the-shelf map

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
