Do I need the Steering Rack Limiter Kit for A90 if I bought the Verus brake cooling kit?

No. Verus Engineering already includes a steering rack limiter kit with its brake cooling kit for the Mk5 Supra, because the ducting needs clearance at full lock. The standalone Steering Rack Limiter Kit for A90 is for owners who want that clearance on its own, such as cars on wheels wider than the factory fitment.

How much does the limiter widen the turning circle?

Verus Engineering states that one limiter on each side increases the steering radius by 1.5 feet. The kit contains six limiters, and Verus does not publish a figure for running more than one per side, so start with one each side and add more only if the tires or ducts still make contact at full lock.

Will a rack limiter stop wide wheels rubbing the fender liners?

Yes, when the rubbing happens at or near full lock. Verus Engineering offers the kit for wide wheel setups because cutting the steering angle keeps the tire away from the fender liners and fenders. It does not change ride height or suspension travel, so rubbing over bumps with the wheels straight is a separate issue.

What are the Verus steering rack limiters made from?

Each limiter is 3D printed from carbon nylon, which Verus Engineering chose for durability in a part that acts as the end stop for the steering rack. The kit pairs six limiters with two stainless hose clamps for the steering rack boots, and Verus describes the installation as simple and publishes an install video.

Why does the kit include hose clamps?

The limiters fit inside the steering rack boots, so each boot has to be opened and closed again during the install. Verus Engineering supplies two stainless hose clamps for that job, and they allow repeated access inside the boot later on, which helps if a new wheel and tire setup calls for a different number of limiters.

Description

Verus Engineering Steering Rack Limiter Kit for A90 Toyota GR Supra

Verus Engineering’s Steering Rack Limiter Kit for A90 Toyota GR Supra trims the maximum steering angle so the front tires stop short of anything they would otherwise touch at full lock. Verus pairs it with its Supra brake cooling kit and also offers it for wheels wider than the factory fitment, where the tires can rub the fender liners or fenders. On a Supra with factory width wheels and no brake ducts, it has nothing to solve.

How It Works

The six 3D printed carbon nylon limiters sit on the steering rack inside the rack boots, where they stop the rack before the end of its travel. Two stainless hose clamps close the boots and let you reopen them later, useful if a new wheel setup calls for a different number of limiters. The cost is a larger steering radius, felt most in parking garages and tight U-turns.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
