Are springs included with the Mono Sport Coilovers for Z33?

Yes. The kit is complete with four shock absorbers and four springs. Front springs are 12.0 kgf/mm, or 672 lbs/in, 225 mm long with a 70 mm inner diameter, and the rears are 10.0 kgf/mm, or 560 lbs/in. Both rates are fixed for this kit.

Is rear damping easy to adjust?

No. The rear knobs cannot be reached with the shocks in place, so the shocks or the rear seat must come out first. TEIN recommends an EDFC controller for these cars; it drives the adjusters by stepping motor and allows changes from the driver seat.

Does the kit suit the G35 as well as the 350Z?

Yes. TEIN tuned the damping on the G35 to settle bumpiness over gaps in the road and to improve high-speed stability. Coverage is the rear-drive G35 coupe from 2003 to 2007 and sedan from 2003 to 2006; all-wheel-drive cars are excluded.

How much lower will a 350Z sit?

TEIN recommends 0.6 to 1.4 inches lower at the front and 0.4 to 1.2 inches at the rear. Full adjustment runs from 2.4 inches lower to 0.9 inch higher at the front, and from 2.0 inches lower to 0.4 inch higher at the rear.

How does this kit differ from Mono Racing?

The Mono Sport Coilovers for Z33 use fixed rates of 12.0 kgf/mm front and 10.0 kgf/mm rear and suit road and winding road driving with some circuit use. Mono Racing for the same cars has stiffer springs, 16.0 to 20.0 kgf/mm, picked at order, and settings derived from Super Racing.

Description

TEIN Mono Sport Coilovers for Z33 Nissan 350Z and V35 Infiniti G35

TEIN’s Mono Sport Coilovers for Z33 Nissan 350Z and V35 Infiniti G35 carry a different emphasis on each car. On the 350Z, TEIN settles a slightly over-sensitive factory rear for better cornering control; on the G35, the damping smooths the bump over road gaps and steadies the car at highway speed. With 12.0 kgf/mm front and 10.0 kgf/mm rear springs, it suits spirited road driving and occasional track days.

Design and Performance

Oil and gas sit in fully separate chambers of each mono-tube body, and ADVANCE M.S.V. valving gives an adjustable range TEIN puts at about three times wider. Ride height is set by case length, so stroke and preload stay unchanged as the car comes down. The shell is STKM13C steel with ZTP coating against abrasion and rust.

Features

Wrought aluminium spring seats and low-friction hard-resin thrust washers
Adjusting wrench with a 12.7 mm square drive for a torque wrench
Clean-room assembly with air showers and model-specific dust boots
Dampers can be overhauled and revalved for long-term service
Covers the 350Z coupe and Roadster plus rear-drive G35 coupe and sedan

Notes

Built to order by TEIN; lead time varies and the order cannot be cancelled or returned
Reaching the rear damping knobs means removing the rear shocks or the rear seat, so TEIN recommends an EDFC controller, sold separately
When the rear spring seat position is changed, adjust the shock length to match so the springs stay seated and no noise develops
The TEIN Mono Sport Coilovers for Z33 do not fit all-wheel-drive G35 models
A firmer, circuit-focused option for the same cars is the TEIN Mono Racing Coilovers for Z33 Nissan 350Z and V35 Infiniti G35

About TEIN

TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so. TEIN launched its own dampers in 1990 and came to supply around 80 percent of the dampers in the N1 Taikyu endurance series. TEIN USA has served the Americas from Downey, California, since 2001.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
