Are springs included with the Mono Racing Coilovers for Z33?

Yes, four springs are included, at rates chosen on ordering. Front options are 16.0, 18.0 or 20.0 kgf/mm and rear options 18.0 or 20.0 kgf/mm. TEIN uses 18.0 kgf/mm, or 1008 lbs/in, front and rear as its reference set, and BA confirms the choice.

Can I adjust the rear damping without removing anything?

No. On these cars the rear shock has to come out before its 16-level knob can be reached, which is why TEIN recommends the optional EDFC controller. It replaces the knob with a stepping motor so damping at both ends can be adjusted from the driver seat.

How far can the 350Z be lowered?

On the US 350Z, TEIN recommends 0.6 to 1.3 inches below stock at the front and 0.4 to 1.2 inches at the rear. The full range reaches 2.6 inches lower at the front and 2.5 inches at the rear. Separate G35 figures are not listed, so ask BA.

Does the kit fit the G35 sedan?

Yes, in rear-drive form. TEIN lists the Mono Racing Coilovers for Z33 for the V35 G35 coupe from 2003 to 2007 and sedan from 2003 to 2006, excluding all-wheel-drive models, plus the 350Z coupe and Roadster from 2003 to 2008.

Is this kit too stiff for the street?

No, though it leans toward the track. TEIN positions Mono Racing as circuit-capable and still usable on the road. The firm reference springs mean a car that rarely sees a circuit may suit the Mono Sport kit better, though the adjuster can soften damping.

Description

TEIN Mono Racing Coilovers for Z33 Nissan 350Z and V35 Infiniti G35

TEIN’s Mono Racing Coilovers for Z33 Nissan 350Z and V35 Infiniti G35 address a trait of the factory cars: a rear end that reacts a little too readily. TEIN’s setting calms it for better cornering control and gives the damping a moderate, settled character. Springs are stiff, 18.0 kgf/mm at both ends in the reference set, and rates are picked at order. Expect a track-day tool; a commuter G35 sedan is over-equipped with it.

Design and Performance

Each mono-tube damper keeps oil and gas apart, holding damping steady through consecutive fast laps. One knob adjusts compression and rebound together over 16 levels via ADVANCE M.S.V., which controls very low piston speeds. Full-length bodies set ride height with little change to ride quality.

Features

Rear tuning reins in the eager factory rear for steadier corner exits
Damping Customize System: revalve or change stroke when the kit is ordered
EDFC compatible, with EDFC ACTIVE able to adjust by G-force and speed
One kit covers the 350Z coupe and Roadster and rear-drive G35 coupe and sedan
Base settings drawn from the Super Racing flagship and TEIN motorsport data

Notes

TEIN builds this kit to order, so lead time varies, and it cannot be cancelled or returned once ordered
Spring rates for the TEIN Mono Racing Coilovers for Z33 are chosen when ordering, 16.0, 18.0 or 20.0 kgf/mm front and 18.0 or 20.0 kgf/mm rear, and BA confirms them before the order goes to TEIN
The rear shock must be removed to adjust its damping, so TEIN recommends an EDFC controller, sold separately

About TEIN

TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so. TEIN launched its own dampers in 1990 and came to supply around 80 percent of the dampers in the N1 Taikyu endurance series. TEIN USA has served the Americas from Downey, California, since 2001.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
