What is in the Fuel Cell Kit?

The T1 Fuel Cell Kit is a JAZ 8 gallon fuel cell that T1 Race Development modifies with -16AN feed fittings and an Earls billet aluminum screw on cap. Lines, pump and mounting are sold separately, and T1 offers matching line kits built around this cell.

Why use this cell with the T1 pump?

T1 Race Development designed its fuel cell line kits around this cell, so the -16AN feed, the fittings and the line lengths all match. The -16AN feed suits the Kinsler TP1300 pump, which T1 says needs at least a -16AN feed line from the cell.

Can it be used with methanol?

T1 Race Development builds the cell into its methanol fuel system. T1 advises pickling the system between events and not leaving methanol in it for more than about a week, and warns that any aluminum cell used with methanol must be hard anodized inside and out.

Where does the cell mount?

The cell sits in the trunk, and the T1 fuel cell line kit uses bulkhead assemblies to bring the lines out. Mounting and any firewall need to meet the rules of the class and track the car runs, so confirm the installation with the tech inspector.

Which line kit do I need?

T1 Race Development offers fuel cell line kits for cars that keep a full exhaust and for cars without one. Bulletproof Automotive lists the stock location turbo version, and the team can confirm which kit suits the turbo layout on your car before ordering.

Description

T1 Race Development GT1R Fuel Cell Kit for R35 Nissan GT-R

T1 Race Development’s GT1R Fuel Cell Kit for R35 Nissan GT-R is a JAZ 8 gallon fuel cell that T1 modifies with -16AN feed fittings and an Earl’s billet aluminum screw-on cap. It is the starting point of T1’s mechanical pump fuel system, and both of T1’s fuel cell line kits are built around it.

Part of the GT1R System

T1 offers a complete mechanical fuel pump kit and a range of line kits for big power methanol and ethanol R35s. The cell sits in the trunk and feeds the pump through -16AN plumbing, which matches the feed size T1 calls for with the Kinsler TP1300 pump. Using the cell the line kits were designed around keeps the fittings and line lengths correct.

Methanol Care

For methanol builds, T1 advises pickling the fuel system between events, keeping it sealed with vents capped if it sits in methanol, and not leaving methanol in it for more than about a week.

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
